This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Decent price for the 65" QLED which is just one level down from the flagship Q90 and includes the free soundbar promotion which is set to expire on 26/11/19 (sorry not sure if that's 26th inclusive or not). Selling at many retailers for £1800, but this is the 65 inch Q85 at the same price as the Q80 is selling for. Some retailers are offering the Q85R for £1500 without the soundbar.

"The big differences between the Q85R and the Q90R is the lowering of peak brightness from 2000nits to 1500nits, and a reduction in the number of dimming zones. Samsung hasn't confirmed numbers for the latter, but the reduction is likely to be significant: we believe the Q85R has only around a fifth of the zones of the Q90R, undeniably affects contrast.

With much lower prices, though, that might be a worthwhile compromise, particularly as you get more or less everything else that makes the Q90R great.

And if you're wondering what the difference is between the Q85R and Q80R (below), it's the One Connect system, which moves all connections to a separate box that's connected to the display via an almost impossibly slim cable. The Q85R has it, but the Q80R doesn't.

The Q85R is, at least for the time being, a Europe-only model.

Samsung Q85R specs

  • Sizes 75in (QE75Q85R), 65in (QE65Q85R), 55in (QE55Q85R)
  • Screen type QLED with direct LED backlight
  • Resolution 4K
  • Processor Quantum Processor 4K
  • HDR HDR10, HLG, HDR10+
  • Ultra Viewing Angle Yes
  • Peak brightness 1500nits
  • One Connect Yes"

480 Vs 96 dimming zones
Had a bad experience with PRC a couple of years back after an expensive TV developed a fault in the first year.

Constantly fobbed of onto the manufacturer, they didn't want to know anything about it, despite their responsibilities as the retailer.

Also they seem to challenge every single bad review on Trust Pilot.

I would avoid for sanity.

Fair enough I've never bought from them - if you hunt around you can get the same deal from other retailers. It was slighty cheaper for the bundle yesterday at Simply Electricals (£1480), but they are up to £1799 now. Also you could try to use this deal to price match elsewhere.
Great, so you basically get the sound bar for free. Also the flagship model in 55 inch Q90 with a different Samsung soundbar free is also same price
Dont buy Samsung. Buy a Panasonic OLED.
Managed to get JL to price match when this was posted a couple of days ago for a different retailer and their offer is valid for 28 days so a few weeks breathing space to see if i can't get a better deal on BF. Simply completed an online form with all the details so they should be good to do the same for this retailer.

If that's the model you want you should try Richer Sounds as some forum users were getting the Q80R Soundbar for the same price. I personally thought the Q85R 65" was the best deal with the drop to £1500 is as that's a full 50% off original RRP.
I ordered last night and just received a call saying stock arriving early next week.
I wonder whether this is a misprice as the q80 is 1499, and I suspect the q85 is going to be 1499 on BF without the soundbar. Definitely didn't query that with PRC though 🤫

Great deal at this price

Edit: think the soundbar has now been removed...

Thanks OP. I got really lucky. Price matched this with Richer Sounds earlier today - against simplyelectricals which had the same deal as PRC. The deal now looks like it has disappeared and most sellers are now back to 1799 without soundbar. Agree that it will be 1499 or less on BF without the sound bar.
