Playing YouTube videos is one of the many things that the Echo (Show) does. I wouldn't base my buying decision on this one feature alone.

They pulled YouTube until the app is improved.

True, but thought I'd mention it as they pulled the support less than 24 hours ago and know quite a few people who have them use them for youtube and they're gutted. It could be back but you never know.

Thanks
Stupid move by YouTube, if they restrict support on devices people will move to other video platforms like Vimeo etc. They should have given Amazon a 90 day notice to comply with their terms or something.

That said I thing this show is overpriced, I love my echo but I wouldn't pay more than £99 for it. The site should be £149 and £129 launch price. I was waiting for it come but I'm holding out for black Friday to buy now.
Ordered 2, cheers OP.

I don't use Amazon very much, am I correct in assuming that they don't take payment until item is ready for dispatch?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

They don't charge until dispatch.

Apologies for being a pedant, but if you buy two @ £199 each and then get £100 off, isn't that £298?

They are £199.99 each
A lot of the benefits, ie youtube cookery videos while cooking, are lost without youtube support.

I'd hold off until google and amazon sort things out, this may take a while though.

Ah, yes! Didn't spot that 99
Google have an event next Wednesday 4th Oct and are rumoured to be announcing a similar device.

This is only a pre-order so easily cancelled, but worth keeping an eye on the competition.

I will buy 2 in case one ever breaks down. I will leave it in the box just in case.
Can't wait for mine to arrive. Love the drop in calling feature, video calling will be even better.

Bought one white and one black, white one looks better apparently.

Speakers Are supposed to be impressive too.

I sort of 'get' apple users now and why they go mad for anything they release. If Amazon released a dog turd with built in Alexa I'd still be first in line to buy it.

Looking forward to their rumoured magic mirror devices.
