Pre-Order due 3rd September - Awaiting stock, not a new release

An ESP 8 String at under £200 is pretty incredible. I can't find anything that competes with it, so if you want something like this in your guitar arsenal, there's not much better around. Well.... without going for something aimed toward a lower budget in the first place, such as the SubZero Gen 8. which is still more than this...

Deftones axeman Stephen Carpenter is a key pioneer of the alternative-metal genre, and for years he has relied on his signature ESP guitars to achieve his cutting-edge sound. The LTD SC-208 is an affordable version of Carpenter's artist model; an 8-string that'll shake the earth beneath you with its bellowing low-end tones!

Construction
The ESP LTD SC-208 features a light Basswood body that has an even and balanced sound, ensuring that the bass response from the lower strings is strong and defined. Paired with a bright-sounding, bolt-on Maple neck, this ensures that some crucial top-end snap pierces through.

In-keeping with the stealthy black finish, the SC-208's neck is adorned with a dark Rosewood fingerboard that feels super-smooth under the fingers. Fitted with 24 extra-jumbo frets, these will enable superb vibrato and string bending control.

Powerful Pickups
A set of high-output ESP LH-308 humbuckers are fitted in the LTD SC-208, able to handle the copious amounts of gain that Carpenter is accustomed to. But they're not one-trick ponies, as these versatile pickups have plenty of clarity for articulate cleans.

God damn bargain.
Who is Stephen Carpenter?
Needs a Floyd rose trem
That's a big ol' slab of neck!
Great price, but the 25.5" scale length puts me off. Looks nice though!

What is Deftones?

They're a band. If you've ever heard one of their songs it's probably "Back to school" or "Minerva" about 15 years ago, that's when they had most of their mainstream success. I guess they're technically a metal band, but pretty experimental (hence the 8 string signature guitar). If you like your metal heavy then the best place to start would be their self titled album, but for a softer intro then "Diamond eyes" is probably the best route in. If you enjoy either of those then their best album is probably "White Pony", but you can't really go wrong with any of them.

Ah OK. So top 6 strings the same as a six-string, plus two extra bass strings at F# and B.
Many thanks!
Can’t get it anymore
Bargain, missed it though
