Great price considering its £27 to preorder everwhere else (asda entertainment, zavvi, etc). Also, Tangled is around £17 alone so you are effectively getting Snow White on blu ray for free. Preorder now for delivery 23rd May.

Cant find an actual image of the set so if anyone else has any luck let me know

Great time to get one with both players and discs being so damn cheap now. Longer you leave it the more you'll have that you wish you had in HD glory (_;)

any idea if this will include the a dvd copy of the films as well. Double play

seems HOT all depends how the films are boxed seperate or in a case.

Great find!

DVDs are so... yesterday! haha

I still don't think they offer the essential upgrade that DVD provided over VHS
But yes, the price of players and discs now make it worthwhile.

Then you've never seen a Disney/Pixar film in HD then, the quality bump to me seems a bigger leap than the Video > DVD if you ask me. The colours and detailing seen in 1080 is amazing.

yes but VHS -> DVD was not just about picture quality. Different in the size of the media and speed made a difference. Not to mention stores were phasing out the VHS media's, where as stores are still selling both Standard DVD's and Blu rays.
If you are not bothered about picture quality then you don't need a blu ray player, standard DVD's are still perfectly fine to watch.

Good deal op, might pre-order this, can always cancel it any time with amazon

Here is a pic of the set, its from Zavvi which is going at £25!

There's a good way of comparing quality between blu-ray's and DVD's (rather than online screen grabs through your monitor) if you own the Special Edition of Planet Earth as the last disc is a standard DVD and contains "the best of Planet Earth" of the producer's fave bits and you can notice a massive difference [especially after watching the complete series back to back ]

But agreed with previous poster, I guess if you don't care about picture quality then I guess there's no incentive to go for Blu?

Once you have watched Blu then you won't ever want to go back to DVD.

Great price for this set - i am so tempted to preorder

If you have not got a blu ray player you are far better off buying the combos
which sometimes can be had for a little more than the dvd on its own, then when
you eventually upgrade you allready have a blu ray collection as well.Cant see
the point of just buying sd dvds when a combo is available as well.

Great Find. Have ordered. Have some heat

Does anyone know if these would be the double play Blu-ray and DVD sets?
I doubt it, but I live in hope!

Brilliant

pretty sure that this wont be blu + dvd combi pack for each movie.

thanks op! just ordered although had snow white already

I was an early adopter to DVD but I decided to wait until this year to jump on the Blu-ray wagon (Though I had a flurry with HD-DVD during the price crash). The picture quality is great but it isn't the audio/visual/interface leap that happened with DVD.

There is also a massive difference in picture quality between budget and premium DVD players. Something which has narrowed considerably with the Blu-ray format.

Great price, shame I already have Snow White. Heat

In the description it says number of discs = 2 so very unlikely to be double play.

The bigger your screen the more you will notice the difference between blu-ray and dvd. Dvd's look fine on 32inch sets but not on anything bigger.

Thanks op just ordered. The g/f will love this.

For me the biggest improvement with bluray is the audio. Dvd's upscaled give bluray a good run for their money if the source material isn't A1.

Zavvi have a bit more detail here:
