Duke Nukem Forever brings back the king of action in a highly anticipated game set to pummel players with unprecedented interactivity, variety, realism, and Duke's special whoop-ass brand of humor. The first in-house Duke Nukem game by 3D Realms since Duke Nukem 3D, Duke Nukem Forever promises to deliver an intense and hysterical FPS experience, with stunningly detailed characters in expansive interactive maps. Motion captured animation and realistic area-sensitive damage take realism to scary new heights, and make picking off those alien **** all the more fun.

This game is and has been (if you haven't been following gaming news throughout the many eras and epochs that this game has been in the works) the perpetually-anticipated fourth in the series. The game's development saga is legendary, including a switch from the Quake engine to the Unreal engine and a string of unofficial release dates that stretch from 1998 to 20006 and beyond. Technically, developer 3D Realms has always promised the release of Duke Nukem Forever, "When it's done." As of this writing, the game is not yet done, but it is still in the works, and the promise is that, one of these days, you or your offspring will enjoy the fruits of almost a decade of hard labor for 3D Realms.

Put on your shades and prepare to step into the boots of Duke Nukem, whose legend has reached epic proportions in the years since his last adventure. The alien hordes are invading and only Duke can save the world. Pig cops, alien shrink rays and enormous alien bosses can't stop our hero from accomplishing his goal: to save the world, save the babes and to be a bad-ass while doing it. The King arrives with an arsenal of over-the-top weapons, non-stop action, and unprecedented levels of interactivity. This game puts the pedal to the metal and tongue firmly in cheek. Shoot hoops, lift weights, read adult magazines, draw crude messages on whiteboards or ogle the many hot women that occupy Duke's life - that is if you can pull yourself away from destroying alien invaders. With hours and hours of over-the-top single player action, and a range of bodacious multiplayer modes, rest assured knowing the fun will last. Duke Nukem was and will forever be a gaming icon, and this is his legend.

Did the Alien **** not learn their lesson the first time? Duke has been on hiatus for some time now, kicking back and franchising himself on the fame he gained from saving Earth from the first invasion. The Aliens have returned to Earth yet again, messing up Duke's sweet routine of dirty leisure habits.

The Alien invaders are stealing Earth's women, especially the hot ones! And they drank Duke's beer. This. Won't. Stand. As Duke battles his way through waves of aliens, the once beautiful gambling haven and Duke Nukem franchise chains are crumbling before his eyes. Time to bring the pain!

Ego, and then Some: Step into the shoes of Duke Nukem, the steroidal One-Man Army who never fails and always gets the Babes.

Bust a Gut: Duke pulls no punches. He does and says the things you are thinking. Duke's constant stream of hilarious one-liners throughout the game will have gamers rolling.

World Interactivity: Spend as much time as you want shooting hoops, lifting weights, playing pinball, pool, air hockey, and slots.

Scale & Variety: This game has it all; packed with explosive FPS action, outlandish settings, driving, and puzzle solving - gamers will never tire of the endless FUN.

Multiplayer Like No Other: Duke re-envisions classic modes of play in his own hilarious and humiliating way. Shrink your opponent and squash him with your foot. Freeze and shatter him. Attach explosives to his back. Roll a pipe bomb between his legs, or just frag him old-fashioned with a rocket.

...hasn't it sold out almost everywhere?

Oooh, I don't know! - there's a bit of a thread on amazon about it... you might well be right. I think the bust you get with this is cool, but the rest of the stuff looks a bit crap (to me).

doesnt help when theyve delayed it again either

The dice looks pretty cool, rest of the package is just like almost any other LE crap. Who wants a grey bust in their living room nowadays, that is so 200 A.C.

Nothing in that edition interests me at all although I am interested in the game.

The release of this has been delayed again. See here

Is anyone even surprised that it's delayed again?

... after all, Duke Nukem never comes early

might not come early Lotus but this game has been in production since i was in school and that was 13years ago lol

I've pre-ordered it but have read that the bust is pretty small...not gonna link it here, but google 'balls of steel bust'...its getting a bit of press

I know, my comment was a double entendre (_;)

13 years! Gotto be the best game ever made.

Where's the bubble gum?

Where's the bubble gum?

I think he's all out.

Btw this is hot since it's at least £10 cheaper than where I was going to pre-order from.
