Allwinner A20 1.5Ghz CPU = Dual core A7, which is much slower than RK3066. Don't know why they would use such CPU....

2500mAh battery is a joke, it won't last more than 2hours play.

Although price is cheap, if you can afford 70GBP, why not spent a little bit more to get a proper tablet from Acer or HP tablet.

Allwinner A20 1.5Ghz CPU = Dual core A9 actually. It's on par with the similarly spec'ed HP Slate 7 (£129)
It will definitely last longer than 2 hours, although I admit a larger capacity would have been preferred.

FYI the HP Slate 7 costs nearly twice this, at £129. You could go up the chain endlessly pointing at products that cost twice as more and are better. At the end of the day this is a budget tablet with some great hardware which will be able to satisfy most people through access to the latest apps on the Play store.

It's a steal at this price imho.

+1

7 inch screen is too small , ipad mini size is perfect

2500mAh battery is way too small. 2 hours use is probably a good estimate when browsing or gaming. You will get a bit more with wifi off and screen brightness turned down.
You would hope for a 4000 mAh battery on a 7" dual core tablet.

This is a new chipset, so expect firmware bugs too. Also be aware just about all of these Chinese tablets with aluminuim backs suffer from poor wifi range ( its not considered an issue in China as they live in small flats).

Better tablets for similar money:
Icoo D70ProII £64.99 delivered
Proven fast RK3066 chipset ; same screen resolution , slightly better 3000mAh battery. But even this has battery life issues.

Quantum 7+ £74.99 delivered
Fast RK3066 chipset , same 1024x600 screen ; better 3600mAh battery , many good reviews.

2 hours use is a pessimistic estimate. The glass isn't even half empty to you guys!
I re-iterate, I would have also preferred a larger battery, but it's certainly passable.

As for your no-name 3rd party re-sellers on Amazon, I'd stick to the reputable UK based Futeko who offer 12 month warranty to base. Just my 2 cents.

Almost a worthwhile purchase but that battery really would be a killer for me and I would hope to expect a little better than 1024x600 for a new product.

Perhaps the reason why it is so slim is because of the compromise made with the battery.

Whilst I would always buy from a UK seller and it's good that there are a few around, I do find that Futeko are not always very honest with regards to product FAQ's.

I would doubt, "Approx 3 Hours Battery Life The 2500mAh battery offers approximately 3 hours of battery life whilst browsing the web" is entirely accurate?
Not an accusation of lying as you are probably quoting from manufacturer however perhaps worth verifying

The manufacturer actually quotes 4 hours. Ours is a conservative estimate.

Battery life varies massively between different chipsets and screen technologies. In the case of the GT70X, the chipset is a Cortex A7 (low power version of the A9) and the screen is standard TFT and not IPS. Both of these reduce power drain.

It's naive to look at mAh numbers and use them for a straight comparison between different technologies.
