Stupidly popular game and my brother is hooked so was seeing what deals were around in pre order for this game for his birthday in July.

Tesco is £29.44, random pence.

Argos is £30.99

Most others are £35 +.

Oh wait... This isn't 14.... I never thought 12 would see the light of day on ps4. Heat!

Awww. Misread it. Thought it was vii.

Ahh my favourite FF game, have all the heat!

it's actually an amazing game! your brother's right

Is there no Vita version this time?

Expecting this to hit around 30 at most places closer to launch. Looking forward to playing it, 12 was one I missed out on.

I think Tesco take payment on order. Base have listed it for £28.85 and charge on dispatch.

this and 13 are the only final fantasy games I've not liked

I would never pre-order anything from Base.com again. I pre-ordered FFXV four months in advance and they sent me an e-mail the day before release telling me they can't fulfil my order.

Funny enough I had an even worse experience with Tesco.com when FFXIV was released. I pre-ordered that one way in advance and it just did not arrive, no e-mails or anything from them until I asked why it had not arrived on release day.

So in short, if you want this game (or any game) on day one then pre-order from a more reputable retailer because when your game doesn't arrive you will pay full price to get it elsewhere and miss out on any other deals from reputable retailers over the months before release.

I suspect Tesco and Base have a habit of offering low price deals like this one to get as many sales as possible without knowing whether they will receive enough stock. For this reason, cold.

12 rules!

Could never get into this when I was younger, I think it's cos I was a stupid kid and didn't want to like it if it didn't have turn based battles... Will 100% get it and enjoy it this year though

bought a white ps4 slim just for this game. its gathering dust waiting for it.

I'm already looking forward to dashing through the Necrohol to get my hands on the Zodiac spear early!!

It was an amazing game - pushed the PS2 to its limits in every way - a true evolution of the series, BUT inherently flawed. The lack of fast travel was painful (and I don't buy the Developer's excuses for excluding it) - the Aeons were ridiculously hard to beat and completely useless when you had them. Hated the random chests and, in particular, the chaining of enemy types just to get a half-decent item.

If they address some of these flaws, then I reckon I will buy this as I never finished it on Ps2 - gave up after 100+ hours!!

This is really strange, i pre-ordered this through amazon last july when they announced it i used student discount from NUS and the price came down to exactly 29.44 pence the same price tesco are selling it for now, hmmmmm tesco must have just put 5% discount on RRP to get that price strange they didn't make it 29,99 or 28.99
