No game keeps getting put back this much if there isn't something wrong with it.

It's only a personal opinion, but I'm waiting until AFTER Christmas when the inevitable patches are out.

Top price though. Seriouly though, I'd wait.

I wish people would put details of these codes if they are going to include it in their deals.

Assuming its out BEFORE christmas LOL (we should find out the release current date soon)

... besides given my past recent experiences with Zavvi i would pay the extra £1ish and get it from Shopto.net

EDIT: i now see its official release date is 24th november SWEEEEET

They can't, you go to Walkers web site and get a unique code, any code quoted would only be valid once

Correct me if you can think of an exception - but I'm fairly sure that most big releases are available for less than £30 either straight away or within a couple of weeks? I don't remember paying more than £25 for any new game ever (not that I buy that many brand new games)

I can't see the point of going for a pre-release deal unless £30? Does anyone really think that it won't be available for less than £30 before Christmas????

exactly what he said lol

Cold, Zavvi and pre-orders don't go together very well and it's just about the same at shopto with possibility of going cheaper closer to release.

Yes thats a valid reason to vote cold. Good work

GT5, what a joke. Anyone taking bets if this comes out this year!

this game has been coming out for literally years now and there is a big expectation for it to deliver. Perhaps the supermarkets will do a deal on release day, but there is a good chance they wont (if we take Fifa and COD as examples). Given the expectation for the game and its past pedigree, I can't really see this one coming down anytime soon, apart from the odd mad bargain that seem to be for the first 100 customers who live in X and are in that area at that time or online at that time. Anyway, I'm shutting up now.

My response to your question is that I don't think this will be much cheaper than this for a while.

That's a decent price - I can't see this dropping massively any time soon, but I may be wrong.

As others have said, Zavvi and The Hut have been all over the place with pre orders at the moment. Some people seem to have been let down before, but until recently they've actually been brilliant. But if you really want this on release day, with the way they've been lately (I'm still waiting for a refund for my copy of Vanquish I preordered six weeks in advance, that I've yet to receive) I'd say pay the extra £1 or so and get it from shopto.

They can, as you just did it.
I didn't mean that they put the code, just how it's obtained/

Need-For Speed Hot Pursuit with this same code, cheapest on the market hotukdeals.com/dea…306

I'm happy to give a code to anyone that wants one..

No problems lately with pre-orders at Zavvi, i pre ordered 2 blu ray films, 2 weeks ago, and both of them arrived 5 days before the release date, so was very happy. Got others also on pre release. I personally have never had a problem with Zavvi.

No problem for me, both MOH and COD Black Ops were delivered 1 day early, better than Shopto

I don't think that is correct at all. Why not keep an eye on a couple of new games i.e. Assassins Creed Brotherhood and GT5 and see what the price is 2 weeks after. I bet you can't get them for less than £30. I would really like to know where you shop for your games. Are you talking about new games or second hand games?

The release date say 24 November but Amazon are saying they won't ship until Dec 17.

Hehe, guess no-one will be pre-ordering from Tesco after there Black Ops pre-order debacle

DELAYED

I love you GT but I've spent more time waiting for you than Richard Marx.

This time at least they've finished the game and pressed it onto discs so it's more than likely that it's coming out on the 24th unless they put a song in the tracklist that is offensive to the Muslim community

WRD code = Walkers Rainy Day code.

It's been confirmed for the 24th in the US and Canada but as far as I know they haven't announced the EU release date yet.

Personally I'm not all that fussed anyway, GT has never really done anything for me, but I'm not a car enthusiast at all.

Bought and sold 2 PS3`s (Bought just for GT5) while ive been waiting and av give up , never known a game to take so long .............

It's a confirmed worldwide launch. I think they just want to get it out ASAP now as no game has ever launched anywhere in the world on a Wednesday. They were mum on the release date the past few days because they wanted to make enough copies to satisfy every major region. Now its finally coming, its hard not to get excited. Roll on the 24th

Well considering they only ever announced an official EU launch date ONCE I find your actions rather bizzare

It's been delayed twice in Japan and once in the US and EU. Also, I somehow doubt there's anyone silly enough to spend £600 on the same console for only ONE game.......that he didn't even know the release date of.

Took me a week after launch to get Fallout: New Vegas from Zavvi, would gladly have paid a few more quid for less hassle

STRONGLY advise against Zavvi for preorders on my experience

Official release date has been confirmed as the 24th Nov confirmed by the makers. So people can stop their moaning now and wait 11 days

Isnt this going to be on offer EVERYWHERE on release day
places like asda will have this discounted straight away.

That's also what i've been trying to tell everyone.
Everyone keeps saying that PD has delayed the game for years.
When it's only been once, and they actually had the game ready for it's release, but had to cancel at the last minute because of Sony.
A delay of just 3 weeks it's actually pretty good when you compare it to games such as Gears of War 3, which has been pushed from April 2011 to November 2011.

I very much doubt it. They only tend to do the really good offers on big multi platform releases. Tbh, even the black ops deals were all based on up selling. I reckon best you'll get might be £30 when bought with a psn card or some similar deal.

I think it's more the insane development time that's annoyed people. I mean wasn't it 2006 when they released the free to download GT HD? You wouldn't of thought the full game would of been more than a year away, try 4!

Or for one whole pound more you could get it a day early from ShopTo, a retailer that is actually reliable for getting pre orders on release.

There wont be any supermarket price war on this one. It's a single platform title for the most unpopular platform if the current console gen and very few people really give a toss about gt5 anymore anyway if most of the gaming press are anything to go by.
