Pre-ordered this keyboard last night with code: THANKYOU
Came up to £80.99 with £4.05 Quidco tracked.

Code seems to be working with everything, but this is the best price I have found for this keyboard so far.

Seems mighty expensive for a keyboard, what makes this one so special?

It has extra buttons that you can program to do the same thing as other buttons.... which means you can press both at the same time and run even faster in COD and kill everyone else.....

I am taking the P by the way.8)

Not voted as all though this seems a stupid amount to pay for a K/B I am not going to look to see if it is a good price for this particular model... which means it could still be a bargain if you want one.

I was on the hunt for a washing machine..and this seems like a good price for a keyboard that has programmable keys..may be I can program the extra keys for stains/gentle/rinse and dry?!!!

Have some heat....and rep...and a pint

I think it's basically aimed at the gamers that'll pay £400 a new graphics card.

They'll pay through the nose for anything they think that will give them a slight edge, or give them a half a millisecond jump on their opponent.

But, I guess if it's the cheapest around for this keyboard, then it's a good deal, for this item, at least.

If you play a lot of PC games then getting a good keyboard really does make the difference. I have the G15 and really do love it. Don't vote cold just because you wouldn't buy it. There is a lot more expensive keyboards out there. Why not try looking for the Optimus Maximus. The cheapest I can see that one for is £1,761.33 so this looks like small change in comparison.

I hope they throw in a free PC for that price.

I decided to abstain from the vote.

Exactly. Heck, the G15 is an improvement over almost any sub-£50 keyboard out there. Im satisfired enough just with teh backlighting nevermind the LCD screen and macro keys.

Not just for gamers: I am a software developer/tester, and you wouldn't believe how much those macro keys can help speed things up. I would love this at work.

Some of the plugins for the display are pretty cool. I do also like the backlight to it but I just wish they never chose orange for it. It looks like you can have different colours on this new one. I was in PC World yesterday and saw the G15 at £90 (only £50 other places mind) so to get this one cheaper than the PC World price is good.

Classic! This site has gone to rat **** these days.

Keyboard & Mouse - the most commonly used pheripherals for interacting with the computer, why not invest in some decent money for it? I won't be buying this though as I am still using the original G15 that I bought 4 maybe 5 years ago.

Macro keys are fantastic, it frees up alot of the commonly used keys to do something else. Very helpful when playing MMO's as I like to keep my hand position near the 1-5 key region. By using the macro's I can free up 2 buttons which is damn helpful.

But for your average Joe that doesn't use his computer other than to browse and do some shopping, this keyboard is useless to them and they wouldn't tell the difference between a £5 keyboard and a high end one anyway. Thats why you see those crappy sub £10 keyboards get hot on this website.

I'm still using my Microsoft Natural Keyboard Elite that I bought about 12 years ago.

Well, yes and no to some of your points. Logitech stuff tends to be great quality, I usually find, and both the keyboard and mouse I currently use are Logitech. BUT, I only paid £15 and £10 respectively (both on good offers). I've used both more expensive keyboards and mice, which were well rated by reviewers, but these two, in spite of being on cheaper side, are the best I've used, IMO.

So, yes, buy good quality peripherals for your needs. But £80? Hmmm, not sure about that. But if you need sophisticated macro functions, then go right ahead.

Seems a bit pricey as the G19 has the better screen, seems to have a usb sound card in it too though unless they supply you with headphones it doesn't save money? Depends on the sound card I guess but Logitech don't make them, unless they've ripped one out of their headsets.
