The newest chapter of the iconic fight franchise Mortal Kombat marks a triumphant return to the series' mature presentation and a reinvention of its classic 2D fighting mechanic.

Driven by an all new graphics engine, the fan favourite Fatality is back and presented in more gory detail than ever before. In addition, Mortal Kombat introduces a number of new game-play features including tag team and the deepest story mode of any fighting game.
Includes PS3 Exclusive Kratos Character in Multiplayer Mode

Players can choose from an extensive line up of the game's iconic warriors and challenge their friends in traditional 1 vs. 1 matches, or take on several new game modes, as well as the most extensive online experience ever seen in a fighting game. Up to four players can battle tag-team- two players can team up in the new Co-op Arcade Mode or compete against another team online.

A decent price, but I'm going to wait out for reviews. Looks cool but there hasn't been a truly excellent MK for a long time.

I know! It has been too long since MK has really treated us. Got high hopes for this one though. Decent previews so far... and Kratos is in it... Kratos! This will sell for that reason alone!

Whilst this game looks great on the videos let's be honest it'll be £17.99 in less than 3 months from release

But is 3 months a worthy wait when this could be the MK revival we've all been waiting for?

Still holding out on the nice Kollectors edition with art book and Scorpion statue but this is a "flawless victory" for regular edition.

This game is going to be awesome!

Loved MK when I was a teen and it first hit the arcades.

But I just don't see the attraction in it anymore. At the time it was epic because of the ridiculous levels of gore. Street Fighter always had better gameplay, but this was more fun because of how silly and over-the-top some of the things were (especially fatalities/babalities). But we're now all used to gore, it's in many games, so unless they do some outrageous stuff with this game, I struggle to see how it'll do well.

This has got an awesome game engine, a susbstantial story mode and a 300 level challenge tower so plenty to keep you going besides just the fatalities and the graphics look amazing.

Supposed to be spending a lot to make sure the game servers are reliable and lag-free :-)

FYI if you want pre-order bonus content ... amazon are doing 2 fatalities + 3 skins for £6 extra
