Hope Spencermann comes up with another £330 deal this year.

I don't know why they didn't just get rid of the 16GB and go from 32GB. 16GB is nothing these days.

Up sell

They sugar coated the pill by at least giving you 64GB. If they'd made 32GB standard they would have severely restricted the possibility of up selling. I wouldn't have paid for any more storage on my iPhone if the base was 32GB, even if £80 bought me 128GB. But with 16GB being the base I was forced to upgrade as that was now starting to become too little

Hot!
I would go for this deal but I promised myself I wouldn't buy any high value items from Currys ever again

Will John lewis price match this if so I know where I will go.nice post cheers O P

If anything goes wrong, you can pop into an apple store. One of the few things i would buy from currys.

does it bend X)

tho if if it does no doubt a profit on day one resale to people on ebay

Can't see any point upgrading my ipad air, basically not much different, only faster processor and better camera which I don't really use it on my ipad air at all. I will wait for next model.

JL don't price match prices with voucher codes unfortunately.

Very tempted. I can get a good price for my iPad 3 (which has been used almost every day for the last 2 1/2 years). I think it's time to upgrade

They did with my Air last year when Tesco did a code off. I think it was because the code was clearly displayed on the product page and available to all.

Presumably if Tesco start taking orders for IPad Air 2 by tomorrow we can use the £20 off code for tablets and get Clubcard points?

Where are you selling your iPad 3? The touch ID and lighter weight are tempting me also depending on the overall cost to upgrade.

i will give it a try and see what happens

16GB keeps it cheap and offers users a 'cheaper' entry point. The large amount of users iPads will hardly leave the house as such cloud based storage would be just fine. Then when you do need to stock up on media etc. you can just be a little choosey as to what you download.

Still using my 4 year old ipad. No problems with it so no reason to upgrade. Only worth buying if you don't already own one (as opposed to upgrading). Nothing much new anymore.

The clever cloggs removed the 32gb version to entice you to go for 64gb as most know 16 is not enough, what they should have just done was kept 32gb as entry level and entice consumers who were going for the 16 to buy a 32gb version instead which will atleast be value for money for the consumer(although saying that this is apple who overprice everything....they can probably sell you a £20 note for £50).

This just shows apple are still domineering and greedy (not really looking out for consumers needs - storage is a big factor nowadays), eventually though there will be a point where the price is ridiculous! im forseeing future phones or even tablets to reach £1k....

Research aspirational brands and marketing and you'll see why they'll never disappear. They're very carefully priced and marketed to make most people want them but few can easily afford. This keeps an element of exclusivity and premium attached to the brand.

I agree they should have set the entry to 32Gb and upgrade to 64GB. Anyone using any magazine or photo heavy material on the retina screens will quickly chew through 16Gb.

Some phones were £1000+ prior to the iPhone, like the Nokia 9000 Communicator that my dad had back in 1997. Adjusted for inflation that's about £1400.

Really? Mine is slow as anything and almost all apps crash. Basically I can check my e-mail. I upgraded to a Mini Retina this week.

Personally I think 16gb is enough, I have quite a few games on mine and have plenty left. Its a little short if you're going to have music and videos on there but if you're not bothered then 16gb is fine. I expect most people wouldn't use it for much more than net browsing anyway

having the ipad 2 for 3 odd years think its time to upgrade. im by no means an apple fan, having mostly android devices however their tablets trump all and this ipad air 2 is well worth the upgrade if you have any of the older ipads (1/2/3), significant performance improvements and rumoured 2gb ram inside will future proof it for a while.

The reason I am looking at this link is the reason above.

IOS8 is an ipad 2 KILLER

Why does Apple bring in "New" models out every year with nothing new in it or worth upgrading to? Apart from enticing people to part with their money.

i agree about the 16gb issue its been the base for too long, 16gb went further when it was introduced,
I actually switched from android to a 6 plus and they kept pushing the 16gb onto me in the shop but went for the 64

I think you could live with a 32 but those buying a 16 will be disappointed

It's poor value imo and they are letting down customers , by offering phones and tAblets at such a high price, that aren't fit for purpose, it's like buying the entry 7 series bmw with a 2 litre tank.

But on a positive note good deal found

Looks like Currys/PCWorld have caught onto this glitch, there is not one single working link to the ipad air 2 on currys website, and when you try and enter the code in the op on pc worlds website it just takes you back to their homepage??

Agree, foolishly I updated. I have an app now which has an issue with ios 8, admittedly not Apple's fault, but now every week the ipad suddenly says it is full and the only cure is a factory reset and start over. I have a 32gb with nothing on it apart from this one app (I use it as a baby camera monitor). It's becoming a chore to have to keep resetting. The app company have said they are addressing the issue but it was perfect before I updated.
