Having reduced the price by £10 to keep up with other shops, HMV are now offering a £20 gift card when you pre-order the 3DS instore. You can also trade your old DS for upto £110 trade in value (depending on which DS you have), you don't have to trade it in until you pick your new one up though so you won't be without one!! You also get a free HMV Pure (loyalty) card and double points which will give you enough points to claim another £10 voucher. You have to pre-order the 3Ds to get all this and I think you have to pay £10 deposit to guarantee one on release day, most stores are opening at midnight, my local store in Llandudno is.

Not even in the ball park of deals.

So, you're paying £26.00 for a £20.00 gift card. oO

do you get the £20 gift card there and then when you pre-order it?

and if so, could you just put down a £10 deposit, get the £20 gift card, and then "later" decide that you no longer want to get the 3DS?

No, you get the gift card when you pick the 3DS up!

ah, that's no fun
i have no interest in it then ^^
but i've not voted hot or cold. i'd be all for getting the pure points if i did want a 3DS, but i don't

talk about talking the p lol

I think people are forgetting the benefit of instore bundle deals, making each game cheaper. If you buy the console cheaper, great, but it comes with no games.

HOT. Presuming you get this if you have already pre-ordered, which I have, so I'm delighted.

You still get double HMV points too? If so, that is worth around a tenner in vouchers.

PLUS - HMV has the best trade-in price.

deals fine - instore generally higher prices so this isn't really much more for the convenience of not having possible non-delivery, sending off issues etc

Will HMV still be open when the 3DS is released? Or are you paying your hard-earned to keep them open for another day?

I'll be honest, I never thought about that...god, I'd be GUTTED if it closes within the next three weeks!

HMV will not be closing all their stores, they're simply closing some to reduce costs and to cover the losses made over christmas because of the snow, they're still going to make £30 million pounds this year so they are not in as much trouble as everyone assumes!!

Why is this expired? BOOOOOO.

not expired, also getting double pure points

Got mine at midnight. First sale by the guy and he cocked up and knocked an extra £30 off
