Cheapest place to get this game before quidco and even cheaper after by using the voucher code GETUPANDPLAY (credit to drwhitey) for £5 off a £30 spend. I've cancelled my pre-order at shopto and opted for this instead :-)

Problem I've found is that I've got a £10.00 gift card for game but I can't use this online can I?

Nope you can't, I remember I had store credit and were'nt able to use them online when I asked the shop assistant in store.

Great price for this. Don't forget that if you have a GAME reward card you also get double points on this as its a pre-order (800 points)

Yeah, I spoke to the guy in game today and he also confirmed it. Don't think that's a very good system they have in place, as I now have £17 of store credit that I have no use for really.

This is an easy one to sort...

Buy a £30 gift card online (using the voucher this would cost you £25) You would also get quidco on this and game points.

Go in store and pre order it. And you will also get double points on the pre order.

Would still leave you with £5 on a gift card tho!

But won't it cost £49.99 rather than £39.99 in-store?

gary?

you tell me...

Can't access Game from work due to the filter, and my Vario II is in for repair so I can't use that, but does this deal also apply to the Xbox 360 version?

dont forget 11% thru Qudico!

Yes, before quidco it makes it £34.99 for the xbox 360 version

If you haven't got an account with Softuk it's £31.23 after using the new customer discount voucher for the Xbox 360, as well as the PS3, so it works out cheaper upfront and I'm not sure but 4% Quidco might also work, so it works out cheaper upfront and you can never rely on Quidco tracking every item.

If you already have an account, Shopto also offer it for £34.99, even though they don't offer 11% Quidco, they will enter you in a competition prize draw to win upto a minimum of £1000 plus you'll get it earlier, as they seem to get some games extra early but it's the norm to receive games at least 1-2 days before release.

Don't softuk charge you in advance though? And it's £36.99 for the PS3 version at shopto.net

Yep, the PS3 version would workout more, I forgot to mention that the price was for the 360 version, so your post is the best price for people that have already got an account with Softuk on the PS3 but I still ordered my 360 copy from Shopto to get it early and ordered my bros from Softuk.

When I called Softuk, I told them that it was unfair that someone had been charged for a preorder and they appologised and said it was because they introduced some new features but that then caused a temporary issue of charging customers automatically but they informed me it's all been sorted, so it's back to normal and you won't get charged until any order is about to get dispatched, just like they used to.

Thanks realfriendlyman, sounds like softuk is indeed a very good deal. Have you had experience with them before? Just wondering which company would be most likely to release early and most importantly if softuk would possibly?

Thanks

I've dealt with Softuk a lot and i've always received my games the next day and I've had a few preorders with them and they either arrived on the day or 1-2 days before the release but this varies and I know that Bioshock arrived on the day of release because there were delays getting them out from the suppliers to several retailers.

Shopto have a lot of good prices but sometimes can be a little more but i've noticed if you really desperately want a game, then they're the best for getting preorders out extra early.

Realfriendlyman - I ordered PES 2008 on the PS3 yesterday. I have just checked my bank account and they have taken the money out!

Having said that I don't mind. It will be one less surprise when the game is out after I have forgot that the money is still due out of my account. Knowing that I have already paid is a bonus - unless I see it cheaper elsewhere before release ;-)
