Not sure if I should of put this in deals or voucher.

Was in my local GameStation today. They guy serving me said they had a offer on. If you pre order Portal 2 you will get £5 knocked of it when you pick it up. No deposit required and you don't have to go and pick it up if you don't want to. I know this probably wont be the best deal as am guessing the game will be £39.99 (£34.99) with the fiver off. But this will be good if you have games to trade in I guess.

I will upload the slip later on. Please note: I got a PS3 order slip but am guessing this deal is for 360 and PC as well.

This deal is mainly for the PS3 and 360 versions and for people who have games to trade in. Plus Judging by my local GameStation most new PC games are £29.99. If Portal 2 ends up £29.99 for PC. Picking up a pre order slip will make it £24.99.

Or, if you're a few pennies short, £24.91 on Amazon, pre-order.

It's £33 on Amazon.

Might be worth a look at, didn't see/hear anything in GS today when I went in. (But then again I wasn't looking at Portal 2)

If you get it for PS3, you get an extra copy for the PC, so long as you link your ps3 account to your steam account.

Cheers, but not sure the PS3 is the optimum system for Portal, controls-wise (though I base this on playing Portal on the PC only).

Yeah I would much rather get a hardcopy for teh PC, my monthly download limit is required for other things than downloading Gb's of games from steam

Portal was fine, great infact, on the Xbox. So I'll be picking it up on that. I would pay for the PS3 version for the free PC copy, but I would never play the PC version!

Just to be clear - I could buy the PS3 version, then d/l the game on Steam, allowing me to sell the PS3 version?

So I could spend ~£40 and get ~£25 as a trade in - resulting in me getting the PC version for ~£15?

It is possible that Portal 2 will be on Steam on the PS3 and like Steam on the PC it will probably be tied to your account. I don't think they have revealed the details yet but I can't see you being able to do that.

Or you could do a two pack on steam where it works out even cheaper at around 23.95 ish I went with steam, less hassle.

Games are locked to your steam account, so unlikely that you will be able to trade it again.
