The same price for a switch version no switch tax for once is a nice change.

Never pre-order.

Never pre-order.

You should always preorder (as early as possible) to lock in the cheapest price for release day. Don’t preorder and then decide you want a game on release, leads to you spending more.

The “never preorder” thing is really outdated now. Even if a game is delivered to you (and turns out to be a broken mess) you can easily return it under the distance selling regulations as long as you haven’t opened it. There are enough people across the internet able to tell us prior to / on release about any problems these days.

Hasn't this been delayed to next Yr now?

It’s really not common practice to refund games because of them being released unfinished.

Or just be slightly patient and get it cheaper after release.

Yes it is. It’s a part of UK law. Don’t open the game and you can return for a full refund for any reason for up to 14 days after delivery. Research Distance Selling Regulations.

Silly counter argument to make. Why not just wait until the next gen and get them even cheaper then too? Guess that makes you impatient to those people doing that. As I said, if you want a game on release, it’s best to preorder.

Not really, almost all games go down in price very quickly, cant see this game holding its price.
This site is about saving money so don't buy on release.
Biddy229/10/2019 11:15

Yes. They come shrink wrapped.

So you’re saying that if the game runs poorly, or is full of bugs/glitches, then you’re entitled to your money back so long as you’ve kept the game in its wrapping.

Do you see the flaw in this argument?

Again. There’s no point to this site if that’s your logic. Everything is cheaper if you wait long enough. Waiting doesn’t help those who want a game upon release, which is the point of this deal.

Nope because you’re selectively ignoring the point I made in my first comment in an attempt to make your point valid.

^ See? If you lack the ability to do proper research into your purchases, then that is on you. You get months of information leading up to release and then the games always leak during release week where you can find people telling you what is wrong with any game. Hell, even if you wait to open it on release day, you’ll find people telling you if it’s in a bad state, so then you can return it unopened.
Boycott Spongebob until him and his ilk leave Bikini bottom to the natives of that land.
He a wacist, madam... wacist.

Well i think preordering is stupid so we will leave it at that

I preordered digital and game share and even a game on sale a year later costs the same as I would split on day one. Though to be fair there are games that drop really fast over the year like dmc5 and resident evil 2 which are £17 now and I paid £22 day one.

Personally if I was worried to wait a year for a £5 I would buy consoles and games 2-3 years in their life or wait for game pass/ps now/gwg or ps+. As that way I'll have all features and best patches at the cheapest price
