Really looking forward to watching this movie

Been waiting for a deal on this film on blu ray Thanks

Film of the year in my opinion. Not paying £16 for it though. Why they think £18 is ok for a film is beyond me. Its not 1998 anymore.

I agree with you, but perhaps because it's a 3 disc set

You pay £8 for a DVD. Most new Blu-rays come with a DVD now at this price. Digital copy is also handy.:)

I would buy far more Blu-Rays if they had DVD versions included as I own more DVD players than I do BD players.

 cheers

watched this yesterday. best film i have seen in ages.

Cold.

Cool movie and I'll be buying it, but is £16.10 a hot bargain? No.

This isnt Star Trek XI, its Star Trek, A Reboot, and is not sequel or prequel of anything thats been made before.

It is a prequel.

I prefer to call it or think of it at Star Trek 2009.

As a none-Star Trek fan (just finished trying to watch the old ones which were nearly all very poor) this film is a real winner.

Maybe not for everyone but if you like loads of good action, characters and a solid storyline with some sci-fi thrown it -it may be your bag. I'll be buying the Bluray for sure.

THIS IS NOT A PREQUEL.

With this film they change the future outcomes of the characters (Kirk, Spock, etc). They have altered the timeline in this film and therefore the previous shows/films with the same characters in effect will never occur.

So as someone else has said this is a reboot of the old Star Trek. Using the same old characters, but giving them completely different evolving stories. This sort of means they have restarted the series. With all the previous Star Trek stuff not holding the New Star Trek story back. So they could kill off a major character in the next film without everyone saying "but hes in Star Trek 2 etc"

Hope that makes sense. And yes I need to get out more.
