With its stunning 12.2” display - Multitasking using four separate windows simultaneously and - Air Command this is really an 'IPAD Killer'. The free (£59) gamepad is great and you wont get a better price as these will be in short supply - Carphone W told me they expect to sell out as soon as they arrive.

OK its not cheap - but for many it would suit as a Laptop replacement (something my bedside Ipad isn't) and the Spen is amazing (I have Note 3 - replaced my IPhone 5)

a £650 android tablet??? its like heading back a few years ago when everyone was trying to bring out a premium tablet at similar prices to the iPad. Android tablets didn't really take off till the Nexus showed up and demonstrated what you could get for a very decent price.

i don't get why there giving a free game-pad either, their positioning this as a device for use by professionals, something that i seriously doubt as android just doesn't have the software integration there yet, The surface pro already tried this and if business's don't want a tablet that is compatible with a lot of business applications why would they want one that isn't.

For £649, I can get a decent laptop to do productivity.
Even better, I can get a gaming desktop for that much.

this does seem really over priced. I get that if you really want the wacom pen support and a bif screen for art then there isn't much else out there but being stuck with android and few decent art apps is rough for this price. I just bought a thinkpad yoga for this exact reason, it's a lot more expensive but windows and a decent kb means I can do so much more with it. if this was £300 and wasn't typical samsung plasticy tat then it would be interesting.

Always amazing how android haters always respond to android deals.

voted hot cos didn't know this beast was going to be shipped. interesting

Voted hot because 10% off RRP + free delivery looks good.

Not sure what will happen when it hits retail, but for now is a good deal if you are an early adopter.

I can't really comment on the device itself. Haven't seen it, haven't tried it, don't think is aimed to the segment of the market I'm in.

I'm pleased with my 2014 for now... Just as well as I paid £360 or there on just before Christmas.

This is certainly a niche product. That niche being the pro's and of course the rich kids... Doesn't stop me wanting one though. Heheh.

I'd rather get the acer w series and put up with windows 8.1 or even the surface 2 ..

Android is not a replacement for windows

android has major problems in that a majority of apps have the ability to take phone call records etc, and you have no way to stop it except for not installing them in the first place

Google has to resolve the privacy issue which it currently is turning a blind eye to

My phone and tablet are android, but it's a toy os and should not be used on machines with a 'pro' moniker. This device is cool, just way over priced. As someone else mentioned, the Surface is infinitely better, but doesn't quite have the size. The pens are interchangeable though.

Going by your comment I'm living in a dreamworld then. As I use my chromebook and tablet for everything, work included. The i7 desktop is barely used apart from the off BF4 session. As for Surface being better, I don't think so. Perhaps the Surface Pro, definitely not the half-baked RT though

Yeah I meant the Surface Pro, I don't know how much longer the RT will survive to be honest. OK so I'm being a little harsh on the Android OS here, it does depend what work you're doing of course, but for me I can't do much with Android. Art application wise what's on offer is very superficial.

For me I use the word processing/typing/light picture editing side of things more, so the chromebook suits me just fine. Art wise I'm old school = paper & pencil.

This is just plain crazy.
If you save a bit more, you can get surface pro 2, which also has wacom pen digitizer but with x86 goodness

Yeah exactly, or if you find the original Surface somewhere cheap it's way less than this to run full Windows applications using a significantly faster CPU. This is my main concern, even if the Note Pro's screen is a much more usable size. 10" is just too annoyingly small for me, hell even 12" is pushing it, but it is nicely on the portable side.

Does anyone have a clue why the discount code doesn't work? When I goto checkout it actually tells me that I can use the code NPR-14G-QKY-WSZ to get 10% off, but then when I try to use the code it says " Your code is not valid. Potential reasons are: it has already been redeemed; the product or order amount is not qualified; or today is not within the validity period." Anyone know of an alternative code? I'm in the UK and have tried on different days and using Internet Explorer and Chrome.

And please can people not make comments sharing their opinions of the device or of android in general? It's not helpful at all. If someone has already decided they want to spend £400 on an android device over windows/apple - let them!
