I didn't see it mentioned first either, but it says it in the title near the top - " Wii Fit (with fitness board)"

Although no RRP price has been confirmed yet, there have been rumours that it will retail for $70 in the US, so a direct conversion would be about £35 in the UK. But UK prices are always inflated, so I'd expect more in the region of £40. Plus the crossbow RRPed at £20, and that was just a piece of plastic and one game. This actually has motion sensors in it, and the actual game seems to have lots of subgames. Pretty good value at £30.

In japan it costs ¥8,800 (roughly US$79) but the board apparantly had to be reinforced before they could sell it in america. So it could cost more than that. At 80 dollars makes it about 40quid over here but tax and the general uk inflation means it could cost even more.

£30 is a steal for this thing that ive wanted since the e3 conference.

Its been there for months at that price, trust me dealing with that crowd they will change the price if need be and not bother to tell you until after despatch.

Amazon.co.uk had this up for just under £50 a few months ago, voted cold because this company should not be trading.

do you just 'add to pre-order', no payment details required at this stage??

There are very few complaints about shopto...

This hasn't even got an official release date, and the rumours point to a summer launch. Voted cold.

Yes, I have heard that it won't be released until May over here, I also can't see it being £30, i'd look at sticking at least andother £20 on there (around £50). Anyway, I guess as long as they don't take the money until dispatch there is no harm in pre-ordering.

ALSO: "The price which is displayed when you make a pre order is subject to change and can increase or decrease if the Retail Price changes."

This is a good price but be aware that shopto (good though they are) reserve the right to up the price even on pre orders. They did this recently with Wii play. Increasing from 30 to 40 notes. You can always cancel of course.

That said I've have this on pre order from them for a while - just for the mrs you understand........:whistling:

Won't happen, if there's a price rise you receive an e-mail and have to log into your account and click a button to confirm you're happy to accept it.

I had Wii Play with the wiimote on pre order with shopto it was £29.99 but I received an email when it was in stock saying the price was now £39.99.

Do not expect them to honour this price. I have pre ordered though, you never know!

perhaps £29.99 is simply a default price with the real price replacing it nearer the time...

when is the release date?

How about you read the first post for yourself?

I also saw this on Shopto.net a couple of months ago and decided not to pre-order. I doubt it will be released on that date. Some sites say "1st quarter" but the majority reckon the latter part of 2008.

I see it now. I thought it was coming out out in June. Is this the official date or will they put it back nearer the date?

apparently the helath aspect of the Wii isnt all it's cracked up to be. maybe the wii board will change this!

In their comparison of active and idle gaming, the investigators wrote … In their comparison of active and idle gaming, the investigators wrote that "this equates to an increase in energy expenditure of 250 kJ (60 kcal) an hour during active gaming compared with sedentary gaming. In a typical week … active gaming rather than passive gaming would increase total energy expenditure by less than 2%," they wrote. "Although this figure is trivial, it might contribute to weight management."

Whats the maximum weight the board can take for the fatties amongst us. This is a stick on 101% to get f'd up as soon as friends and alcohol are involved.

The official release date for UK is 25 May 2008 and it expected to be around the £50 mark so I wouldn't expect that anyone ordering at £29.99 would get it for that price

Think I'll just leave it until next year to order - that way the prices will be set

agree with Binned-it May 2008 is the date the Big N is saying,..

I'll get one but will wait for another deal.

Worth a try though, regardless of the final RRP, it's likely still going to be a pain to get one at all affordably knowing the Wii.

Might aswell as you not charged untill they ship it anyway

pre-ordered, as someone said you don't get charged until shopto post it anyway

Cheers for the liink. Ordered mine and if the price goes up and becomes no longer a good deal I will just cancel it.

They've now changed the release date to 31/03/08. And they've written:

We have temporarily stopped taking pre orders due to high demand. If you … We have temporarily stopped taking pre orders due to high demand. If you have Pre-Ordered we will dispatch your copy as soon as we receive the product.

So maybe those of us who did preorder will get it for £29.99?

Got this off Shop To
