Use code MIJROT to get this for $541.74 delivered (+ Customs charges if unlucky!).

The new version comes with vaccum and mopping functions.

really want one now it's got a mop feature
Do these things actually work? Surely they must get jammed up under coffee table legs etc.

Not the ones with LDS or whatever it's called, a laser range-finder spinning on top. That will 'spot' anything at the height of the range-finder and sensibly move around the room. Reviews of the previous xiaomi vacuum show it picking out table legs and specifically doing a little circle around them to clean the area, way better than the traditional 'move until you bump into something'.

How good is the mopping function? Is it worth the extra £200 or so over the previous vacuum-only model? I do have hard flooring that would benefit but I might want a separate mop-only device to handle it just to see how it does.

*edit* looks like most other robot mops are high-maintenance. Not returning to base to charge (bonus points to xiaomi for that), also needing the tank refilling and the mops replacing after every run.

This is cheaper than my Roomba 770, and I'll certainly go for a Xiaomi when time to replace it. I like the fact that it combines iRobot's Roomba and Braava, but is still less than half the price.

You're actually hoping for a robot to go and refill itself with water? and to magically dry its cleaning cloth after it's giving the wet floor a going over? I think you're better off with your own bucket and mop.

I don't think filling a water tank and wringing out a cleaning cloth is such a high-maintenance routine, if you can leave the robot to take care of cleaning the kitchen or bathroom floor when you go out.

Make a dock with a 5 litre water tank, it can refill the robot mop each day for a week. Add a small heater to the base that can dry the mop. Done. Now you're dealing with your robot mop once a week instead of every day. For £400, that's what I expect. £100-200 is another matter though.
Just double checked pricing. The code brings it down to £343, then there is £70 delivery charge + possible customs charges so you are looking at a minimum of £414. Unless there's a free delivery coupon code too?

Apologies, you are right about shipping, this makes it $541.74 (£400.53) delivered. Select dollars or they give you a crap exchange rate. I get £400.53 from the mid-market exchange on dollars.

Hopefully they will add a free shipping option soon. I am interested in this myself but haven't gone for it yet until I see what other sites are offering it for. At the moment it is the cheapest price.

I just went on their live chat and asked if they had any coupon codes available for this item(not sure if they freely give them out if asked and was hoping for a free delivery one) and the agent actaully said there aren't any coupon codes for this item as its already on sale. Does that mean this pricing is a glitch and the coupon shouldn't work or their agents are tight with codes?
I've only had the Mi Robot Vacuum (V1) for a few weeks and it's absolutely brilliant. It is way better than anything at the money and is arguably better than the overpriced Roomba 950 and Dyson (they both use cameras whereas the Mi uses lasers).

I didn't know this was being released or I might have waited a little longer. I'm fairly sure Xiaomi would have done their homework on the mop feature of this given all the tech that went into the previous version. Would need to see a few reviews of it first!
