In store at blockbuster they are selling a preowned core package with Viva Pinata, Fuzion Frenzy 2 and a memory unit for £149.99
Once you have bought this package just trade the games and memory unit back in for £31. The guy I got it off just put it back on my card. Thus giving a grand total of £119 for a 360.

Whats the warranty on this deal? I'd be very dubious buying a 360 without a decent warranty.

Now that MS are banning modified drives, a lot of people will be buying core systems so they can use Live! again....

I'd be worried that this is their old (and banned) premium system in their new core systems box... :x

Just a heads up to be careful!!!

I would think even if it is banned you will be able to get it unbanned by microsoft. Not too much of a risk in my opinion, good post.

You definetly won't be able to get it unbanned. There's absoloutely no recourse for banned consoles (for obvious reasons they're not just going to take your word for it when you say you did nothing wrong). However, there's really no risk, as you can just take it straight back to Blockbusters if it turns out to be a dud.

I understand that you might think this a good deal ie you're getting a core for £119. The down sides are though that it is used and the £31 refund is a store credit so you have to spend it in Blockbusters. However its difficult to see this as a good deal when Boots recently did new cores for £150 (even though they have now sold out) so you might not have many hot voters....

The guy said they put it back on his card. I would have presumed that meant his CC/Debit Card.

Yeah the guy was just able to put the money straight back onto my card. No store credit at all.

Blockbuster near me just offered me:

New Core
Any game of my choice
Fusion Frenzy 2 (trade in for £10)
Memory Unit

For £199.99 (effectively 189.99 with trade in)

Which isn't too bad I reckon. They had sold out of pre-owned cores.

Apparently the Gamestations within Blockbuster stores are now owned by Blockbuster and the ones that are shops themselves are now owned by Game. This makes things a bit complicated if you've got trade credit from one side as the other side won't take it.
