This is a really good deal for those who use them.
3 x 60tablet pack of Pregnacare vitamins for the price of one.
Especially good if you get morning sickness to ensure your getting enough vitamins. Contains the recommended amount of folic acid (400 micrograms) and vitamin d (10 micrograms). recommended by the NHS/DOH for pregnant women

obviously does not contain retinol (vitamin A) unlike normal multivitamins which is harmful to the baby

  • Contains three packs of 30 Pregnacare vitamin and mineral tablets plus 30 Omega-3 capsules

  • Includes folic acid, vitamin B12 and zinc to support neural tube development and cell division early in pregnancy

  • Moderate levels of iron as well as B vitamins for blood formation

You can try Pregnacare Conception, that might help

worth noting that if your pregnant then you can get these for free.

You are entitled to free prescription until the child is 1.

My wife got it and she was able to claim pregnacare. No benefit as everybody it entitled for it.

You get free prescriptions but I’ve never heard it on multivits. I very much doubt my gp would agree to prescribing that. Things like iron if your anemic I understand as medical reason but full multivits?
must depend on your gp. Personally mine would tell you to sod off if you tried to get them to prescribe calpol to a child ( rightly so I think) which I know some people get prescribed. Multivits seems very similar

i'm not sure about getting pregnacare free, but if you are pregnant you do not need to buy these, you can go to your own local children's center and request free vitamins (no prescription needed), you are restricted to 1 tub at a time, but can have them for as long as you need throughout pregnancy and breastfeeding. you only have to put your name and postcode down on a register at the center to claim.

worth checking out and or inquiring with your midwife. This is the case in Watford / Hertfordshire any way, we have just done this, having now got a week old baby. We weren't told about this upfront on the first or second pregnancy, but found out through casual conversation with one of the health workers.

Hope this helps out someone, and saves a few quid.

(incidentally, if you still have to buy pregnacare, then this is a good deal)

No you don’t need to be on benefits. Pregnancy can affect a woman’s teeth and gums hence the free dental care.
