Not that many long waits at gatwick with so many lanes open you would only save a couple of minutes better would be the passport control at £1 that would be great.

I was through in about 2 minutes when I was at T5 last month.

T5 at Gatwick? ..... Interesting
Looks like the "r" slipped through secuity

Premium is required when travel in the School holiday season. Also you get a better treatment while scanning. So it's worth the quid. 🔥

I can only find it at £5 per adult & free for a child.

Is there a voucher code or is this date specific?
I cannot find this for £1 anywhere on the Gatwick site, also googled it but nothing came up.

As opposed to what? Being strip searched while hanging upside down over a boiling caldron?
Thanks, have 3 flights booked this year so have ‘treated’ us on all 3 occasions. It’s a shame you can’t book them at this pricewithout knowing your travel dates so that you have some in reserve.

Some people want the moon on a stick.
I don’t think you should be able to pay for it . It should be just for business class / status card holders. Otherwise as has been suggested everyone buys it then it’s really not premium any more! Just as slow as the regular one..

When everyone is special, nobody is. Used this a few times. For early morning flights it’s busier than normal security. Any other time it’s ok. You are paying for polite staff imho. Gatwick isn’t so bad for that, unlike t5 where you truly feel like a sheep.
Receipt is odd...doesnt say how may people and says parking! £3 for 3 adults 1 child <12

Anyone experience of the premium passport control - worth it?
What comes next
Premium entrance
Premium toilets
Premium fresh air
Ridiculous
Beware...have paid for FastTrack at Gatwick before, only to find FastTrack not operating for early morning flights

Premium toilets would be worth it! But only if it’s the fancy one that does all the work 🤣

"Premium" only usually costs £5? Seems a little odd - advantages of the service must be very minimal usually.
Queue Jumping Trash
Haven't used this at Gatwick, but it made a big difference at Stansted - huge queues for the main security gates but hardly anyone using Fast Track.

I hope it does considering they make a deal of the opening/operating times...

As opposed to an extremely rude security personnel who try to release their work pressure on the passengers. All in all if you don't fly on weekly basis I don't expect you to realise what I am talking about

At Heathrow, your get this feeling at all terminals. Stansted is not better 🤐
Don’t really get fast track stuff. Your plane still leaves at the same time. I see people pay to fast track onto the plane before others... it’s not going anywhere until it’s departure time
Only time I get it is for business where people turn up last minute for flights.
Sat at Gatwick in the departure lounge reading this

didn’t use it as didn’t know about it until after I’d gone through but the normal/unspecial security wasn’t bad this morning anyway, took about 5 minutes and the staff couldn’t have been more pleasant for a Monday morning

(would still have tried it for quid had I known)
I used to do a weekly flight out of gatwick for a year and didnt think queues were bad at all, average 10-15 mins extra wait? Maybe that's worth a £1 for some. I don't think they are bad at T5 either. Would agree staff are rude at both airports though. Would prefer to see all priority booking and queuing removed, it's a right nonsense. That's the leftist thing I've ever said

When Gov finally give go ahead for the 2nd runway (to ensure we have competition in the south) it might well do. Shame we have such a carp government that just won't come to it senses on this....
Not worth it at all. Has less scanners so can take longer

Stansted i would say it's worth it same as luton but for Gatwick it would not make much of a difference. Just back from tenerife and the wait was 5 mins max in the summer i would say it's around 7 mins wait but for a £1 you are not losing anything by using it.

They are waiting for a generous contractor 💷
Think of it as poundland premium - now there's a marketing opportunity
Unless you are travelling during school holidays or a Monday morning, the lines in Gatwick are pretty fast. Now if this were Stansted or Luton...

You have to pay extra for that...
I work security at Gatwick, anyone saying you get more polite staff on Premium security clearly isn't aware that all the crews rotate. So the staff that were on a regular lane today may be on Premium tomorrow and vice versa. It's all the same as far as which personnel are concerned. Also apparently Gatwick doesn't get the money you pay to use premium lane, the airlines do. However I can't say that for certain.
