I’m gonna sound like a genuine snob here now lol. Moka pots don’t produce enough pressure through the coffee grounds to make a “real” espresso. I’m not saying it isn’t nice, it can make great coffee, but not espresso

I'll join in. To make espresso you'd need 9 bars of pressure (majority machines are 15), so doesn't matter how nice is coffee as it comes out of one of those Moka pots, it will never be an espresso.
Cold as it doesn't make espresso.
Many imitate....but you just can't beat the original...

Nothing works as well, and whilst I've not tried this (Aldi) one, and every machine on the market, I might have come close! And they have all been purchased in Italy

Yeah I know. I just copied their title as I thought since most still call them espresso maker that's what they'd search for.

I wouldn't mind betting Bialetti made it for them....

I'll find out once it gets delivered. I had a 9 cup SS Bialetti but the handle eventually cracked and they said they don't make the spares any more

I have a Lidl espresso maker and it's made by DeLonghi for them.

Got exact one from Bialetti(Amazon 3 years ago at around £22) - bought stainless steel as I can taste metal in every aluminium implement. Doesn't get used very often as I prefer coffee via V60 or Aeropress.

Not sure if I can taste it but I prefer it from the SS version. I have a 9cup aluminium one somewhere and an original 10 cup Musa but the handle got burnt and crumbled. Can't find a spare anywhere hence I got the Aldi offer.
I bought one from Aldi in their last deal and it was a different style, but the same product.

it doesn’t work on induction hobs, despite the claims

Having picked up one of the previous 6 cup moka pots at Aldi for £1.99 on clearance, this doesn’t seem that good a deal
A new way for me to make espresso - I'm in

Nice find @rauca, lovely first deal.

I suppose they didn't want to clutter the photo by adding a trivet?
