Also, Google are in process of migrating over to YouTube Music and I can't say I'm a fan. Especially the separation between your uploaded library and YouTube Music's 'native' one. It was all just one big library in Google Play Music.I'll likely keep up my Tidal sub, hopefully I can string together some trials to get it cheaper!

Just sign up through Turkey and be done with it, this offer would give you three months for 35p and then it's less than £3 a month for a Hifi subscription.

Great service. Superb sound quality. This is a saving of £57.
Great deal O.P (remember to immediately cancel and still get trial period)

Good tip, thanks. Got until September to sort something and I'll likely go down this route.

The rule with Google is they will break absolutely everything, so never rely on anything Google

It does in the US, just no love for the rest of the world
I like Tidal even better than Amazon Music in fact but it’s too little too late.... Now Amazon have UHD content I’ll not go back even if they dropped the price.

Yeah it's a shame. I've been using GPM since it launched. I've never really got on with YouTube music so can't see me wanting to carry on with it once GPM is terminated.
Is this new customers only?
The link takes me to a page giving a 30day free trial. How do I access the £3 for 3 months offer please?

I had no idea before I took out my 4 month trial. As mentioned above, only in the US. There's a workaround apparently but it's too much hassle to do it everytime you want to use Tidal.
Got to be worth a punt at that price, have some heat.

Haven't tried with Alexa but have noticed that it only connects to my Marantz receiver through the HEOS app, while Spotify connects directly. First World problem, I know, but still annoying!
Not working for me. Just a 30 day trial. Have used Tidal before but never been to Tidal's web site since new computer build few months back.

The Heos app is awful, I stream from the Tidal app to an original Chromecast in the back of the AVR. Streaming Spotify to the Chromecast is also better quality than using the built-in service.

If you have a 4k Fire Stick, you can get Master quality and the new Atmos recordings but this has to be used directly with the Stick, you can't use your phone app to control it.
Yes I love Tidal to, I signed up for the 3 months trail and will likely they still tidal, its better than Spotify and offers more exclusive content and the sound quality is well-balanced equalization wise, The interface is great and its so easier to use and some of the exclusive video content is awesome.

Use a VPN that'll get you to Turkey, open an incognito or guest window and away you go. Be sure to use a fee free card or revolut to avoid conversion charges.

Can you do this with the tidal family plan. Just asking as me and my brother would like to give it a go. Would we both need a VPN to log in each time? Not sure how it works. Thanks

Yes you can. You only need the VPN to set up the account initially, not needed from there on, log in on whatever device you want as normal. Only thing different is you'll get a few introductory emails in Turkish. Unlike Turkish Spotify, you won't get a load of 'local' suggestions filling your home page either.

Yes, you can sign up to family. You only need the VPN for signing up, after that you can add your users and everyone can use it in the UK without VPN. Pretty much the same process with all the streaming services.

You can use it with Alexa anywhere in the World, but you have to select US as your location in Amazon settings. Works perfectly well for me. The setting doesn't have any effect on buying from Amazon.

Obviously, but it then messes up all the skills localised to the UK.

You're right, it does, but I've not found anything that doesn't work for me after setting up the US version of the skill. I have lighting, smart plugs etc.. all still work fine, most skills are available. Of everything I ever had setup, it's only BBC radio I don't have access to at the moment since they removed it from TuneIn and the BBC skill isn't available in the US (probably a work around for that too, but I haven't looked).

Just mean't to make others aware that it's an option, understand it won't be for everyone.
Tidal Premium is not HiFi.

If you want 3 months premium free look at the last offer and then guess the current code!
It is as difficult as 1+1.

Cheers. Where in settings is that? Do you need to specify a US address?

On your Amazon account page (on the website), go to Manage Your Content and Devices, then settings (or prefferences, they may have changed it), then under Country/Region just change country to US and save. I didn't have to enter an address, just my name and country.

By using this setting you are telling Amazon that you have moved Country, but it only applies to digital devices and content. All your UK Alexa setup, apps, skills etc.., will be lost and you'll need to set them up again with the US versions.
Tidal is ace, and if you have Serato it links in seemlessly...
Also I can’t get tidal to link with Alexa which is rubbish...

It asked me, but I left everything blank except my name and country. Worked like that for me but may have changed. You only have to do this once, then it should appear as a drop-down option instead of having to enter anything manually.

It will not change the currency you purchase in via Amazon.co.uk. I think the setting only applies to digital content like kindle, video, app etc.. and you can set currency back to GBP separately anyway.

This setting doesn't stop you using location based skills either as you set individual device locations separately.

Might take a while to update in the app. I deleted and reinstalled the app, and reset one echo device, because I thought you had to. By the time I did that, all the other devices started working, so I don't think you need to do that.

TBH I remember it being a little bit of a faff, but it was well worth it for me.

Tidal still exists?!
I have a heap of Samsung Multiroom R360 speakers which came with a total of 24 months promotion of 'Deezer Premium' which worked fine for a few months before the playlist playback issues started and more recently the log-in issues lots of users are having.

So switched over to 'Tidal HiFi' (4 months for £4), which ends August and I must say it has injected a new lease of life into my £2000 multiroom setup.

The web interface is spot on and the integration with the Samsung Multiroom app works very well, unlike Deezer (which used to before they stopped updating their multiroom service).

Huge music catalogue and the sound quality is perfect. They even have 'Master' versiobs of some albums.

I might drop my subcsription the the standard Tidal service though as £19.99 per month is a bit steep.
