Wouldn't normally post a kitchen gadget at this price but I was lucky enough to see this one in use at a friends house recently & I'm not joking, she had ice cream made from scratch (no pre-freezing required) to table in less than 40 mins. I am so used to having to pre-freeze my ice cream maker for 24 hours before making any, I almost thought magic was involved or it was a "look what I made earlier" moment (embarrassed).

It has excellent reviews, the ice cream was amazing, I've promised my husband all sorts if I can have one. if he doesn't come through, I may just divorce him & treat myself, pretty sure decent ice-cream is more useful than him anyway

  • PERFECT RESULTS - In just 30 minutes, the self-cooling ice cream machine creates 1.5 l of creamy ice cream or sorbet, parfait, soft-serve ice cream and even frozen yogurt, all without pre-freezing.
  • HIGH PERFORMANCE - Thanks to the integrated compressor and the 150 watts cooling capacity, Emma can be used without any pre-cooling and creates ice cream up to -35 degrees Celsius.
  • TIMING - Thanks to the cooling function, your ice cream is kept cold for up to 1 hour after preparation. With the adjustable timer for minute-based programming and the digital display showing the remaining time, you can keep an eye on your ice cream.
  • SAFE & SIMPLE - The ice cream maker was tested by Intertek GS and has a practical lid opening for adding ingredients during the stirring process. For easy cleaning, the ice cream container made of anodized aluminum and the stirring component can be removed

I spend a fortune on ice cream with the kids. Hopefully this'll pay for itself in a few months

I have one of the freeze bowl for 24 hours jobbies, the ingredients are far more expensive than buying premium brands like haggen das so no way you will save money but it does taste awesome. I make Cherry Garcia since mean old ben and jerry withdrew the flavour from sale here

Yeah its amazing we use it all the time. Double cream tends to be on the weekly shopping list. Most the other stuff required i already have in the cupboards. The Mrs and kids love nutella ice cream which is just double cream, milk, nutella, vanilla essence, salt and sugar (from the top of my head!) and takes between 30 and 45min to freeze (soft scoop) I normally make enough that'll fit in a litre tub then put it in the freezer. I have also made brandy ice cream that took 3 days to freeze through lol and guests got drunk eating it I have also made slushy with it using syrup i bought from ebay, they do sugar free ones and it only takes 30 min.

I keep it upstairs in the box as its quite big, and bring the pot down, fill it with ingredients and let it do its job upstairs, then bring it back down when its done. Pretty easy to do. The instructions also have some recipes, the chocolate one was a hit!

We dont buy ice cream anymore, unless we want a crazy ben and jerrys flavour, which is rare.

Hope this helps!

Thank you. You’ve been very helpful. I’ve been resisting buying an ice cream maker for some time. I like the idea of being able to make any flavour I want. I love Nutella ice cream but I’ve only ever eaten it in dessert places. I also like ferrero rocher flavour which is very similar. Rum and raisin is good too.I’ll see how I go. Thanks again for the info.
