???

Pre-owned means the online pass has no doubt been used

I'd go with 'stolen' rather than 'preowned'

May well be nationwide but the odds of finding one, and the variable conditions (noticed the brown spot on the spine of the box in OP's pic), make this cold.

Why Cold votes? Cause its stolen? Lol

9.99 in my local cc.
Whilst I was in a guy was trying to sell portal 2, they offered him £3. Puts me off buying stuff off them when they treat people like mugs.

Whats the brown spot got to do with the deal? Can YOU find me a better price then let me and everyone know! Dont vote cold with some stupid comments which dont even relate to the actual deal!

/spits coffee out over keyboard.. £3?!!

need for an online pass makes this cold and same goes for any pre-owned game needing a new online pass unless the game or pass cost as little as a £1

If you can't use online 2nd hand then have to agree it's a cold one.

I agree with the need for the online pass making some games no good when sold second hand, but my experiences in cash converters range from 'item in excellent condition' to 'wouldn't touch it due to stains of blood / drugs / ??' I always ask to see the disc / booklet first before buying.

Yes, items in excellent condition in there do raise an eyebrow...

I really dont know why cash converters get a raw deal om here. I got the old ps1 game clock tower from cash converters in bury last week for 29p! Got red dead redemption for 6.99 cos the box was damaged! Had loads of good buys from CC.

Cant believe how cold this has got cause people moaning about online pass and the company!

Anyways its a good deal for me as disc was like new, no scratches! Code maybe working but I already had code anyways!

It doesn't mean that everybody else that would think of picking this up has a spare code lying about.
The online pass makes this a cold deal since you may as well look for a new copy for the same price.

Also, on the Cash Converters side, for me everything just feels dirty.
(What doesn't help is the ratio of junkies to times I've been in. Seriously, on an average day, chemists must see less junkies going in for Methadone than CC staff see trying to sell something.)

Sure, you can get some decent prices, like I got an N64, complete with expansion pack, memory, controller, all wires and a Mega Drive region code evader thing for £10 but I still have this feeling of, 'Wow, not all the alcohol gel and wet wipes in Boots will clean this because I have no idea what the previous owner was like'. (Again, not helped by some woman with needle marks on her freaking hands and that was clearly wasted coming up to me and starts ranting on about something.)
(And I'm not even that big of a germophobe.)

CC seem to be based on ebay prices, when you take something in they claim to look on ebay and offer you 2/3rds of the average price. Alotta the time its not true though, i've seen them offer people alot less than they should.. just trying to push their luck. Can't blame them as I bet they are on a bonus per store if they make big profits.
Cex always offer more than cc but they also usually charge more to buy from. Atleast with cex you get the price thats listed so theres no ripping off.

The worst time in CC was when I was looking for a ps3 at xmas, a guy brought a 360 and 12 games in and they offered him £40 the lot and he took it as I presume he needed the money with it being xmas. Its interesting to see the deals being done, quite funny seeing people lose their temper when they are offered next to nothing for their items.

The guy at my local also claims only to offer scrap prices for gold, it would be interesting to see if that was really true.

did you not think to jump in and offer the guy £50

CC and Cash Generator are sometimes the best when it comes to really cheap games, its the luck of the draw when you go in and check what they have but they do have some really cheap games in there, i've bought some games in there and then doubled my money when i've traded them back in at CeX or Gamestation.

I got Red Dead Redemption once for £5.99 which was ridiculous, also got Midnight Club Complete Edition for £1.99 and got £9 trade in.
