i bought a couple of pairs in their last sale, and I have to say their customer service is second to none
Used them a few times without issue. Most recent order Jan 2016 took total 8 days from order to receipt. Just ordered more. Thanks for 40% discount code.
Have ordered before from them was happy with service and quality for the money paid
Yep, their service is awesome and their glasses are really really good for the money - I have bought several pairs from them, including a pair of Alain Delon designer specs which look amazing
I've got varifocals with the record that specsavers gave me.what do I select?

Looks good. Hot.

The 1.57 lenses don't have UV or anti scratch... can you say if you selected a "paid" lenses type or not
sweet - just ordered 2 pairs and tints are free - perfect for my holiday in the sun!

That's amazing.....modelled by the invisible man!
I bought 2 pairs 1 for reading the other for driving, both of them were not the correct prescription I was getting headaches and tired eyes and went to optician who did my eye test she told me the glasses were not just a bit out but way off the prescription as I have a couple of weak sight spots and the glasses I had been sent were actually making that worse. If it hadn't been for the headaches I would have kept using the glasses as they didn't seem to be so bad.
I contacted Goggles4U and they said they would replace them, the replacements were actually worse then the first ones and it took weeks of e-mails to get my money back.
Trust pilot have been proven to keep negative reviews of some companies off their website, they are paid to do this. there was an investigation into it.

Sounds like you have a specific vision problem. I've used them several times and always spot on at a fraction of Optician prices.
do i just chose the frame i want and pick single 1.57 lense, no anti glare. add to cart and then enter code on checkout and it will automatically add Full UV protection Anti Scratch Coating to my order? or do i need to select anti-glare protection?
Great deal. What about adjustments etc to make sure they fit your face perfectly?

My other half bought some earlier (Thanks OP - heat added at the time) and when he was filling in the details he had to get me to confirm/measure the distance between the centres of his pupils. I think that measurement gives them a good indication of what is needed to fit.
Asda do an All in price for Varifocals from £40, Im wearing a pair and they are spot on

There is no online facility for minor adjustments. All dims are stated on product webpage, which is fine if you know your requirements. Any other tweaks that you are not comfortable performing yourself will involve a trip to your preferred opticians or similar. Surprisingly, my local optician is OK with minor adjustments to glasses bought elsewhere and (with no liability) doesn't charge for the service - I think the theory of this is that the optician is trying to sell the advantages of the personal touch which obviously is lacking in web sales. That seems reasonable business practice, it's just a shame that the personal touch is so hugely expensive in comparison. Still, the optician is heavily rewarded with my occasional eye test business...
I've just got some specs and thought I'd use the prescription to get some cheapies online as well.
This has saved me looking to far, so... hot from me!

Lens prescriptions are good, but the sunglasses tint is always a weird colour...seems to be very red !
Had a few pairs, but won't order sunglasses again.

My Avast Pro anti virus blocks access to the basket with the message that the security certificate for that page is invalid. The previous pages are fine so you can enter the order, but not place it! I have pointed this out to Goggles4u and their first response is to say their site is safe. I responded saying that is totally irrelevant as the page is inaccessible and, even if it were accessible, noone would go to a page when their antivirus software warns it is unsafe! No idea if other antivirus software does the same here. Hopefully they will fix this soon. They say they can accept orders over the phone. On the rare occasions I have found this problem on sites before, after similar irrelevant protests that the relevant site is safe, their webmasters have fixed it within a couple of days.

I'm sure they appreciate the 30 odd pounds they get once every 2 years as they have spent thousands of pounds on specialist equipment to give you a professional eye test just for you to come in with poorly fitting glasses worth pennies for them to adjust......

That may be true if the optician actually received payment for performing eye tests, but as many opticians offer free tests outside NHS maybe we don't fully appreciate marketing techniques within a competitive environment.

The codes don't appear to stack (ie this welcome one doesn't work with the 40% one listed here, at least for me)...
The major impediment to using online glasses retailers is IMO the PD (Pupillary Distance) measurement, which is notoriously hard to get correct if doing it yourself.... oO

I've never been able to successfully code stack at g4u. However the 40% discount seems to be the best that has been offered for a while. No doubt the vison regulator is about to step in to outlaw confusing discounts and BOGOF promotions in the retail eyewear industry.

Found it quite simple for me to mark pupil centres on existing glasses then measure between marks. As a check, I had a friend hold measuring ruler against my face and note p-p distance. Both arrived at same result. Suppose that theory may fall flat if face is not symetrical but I should be OK cos I don't have any resemblence to elephant man.

I asked an optician to measure them for me. Simples

Not sure my ones would do that - they give all the other specs (sic) on the form but not P D - probably 'cos a lot of people ask for it & then go online instead of buying off them
Has anyone found a good site for computer glasses, i.e. intermediate distance ?
