Thanks OP I might just find my hidden talent using this software. Worth a try.
Can anyone point a "thickie" in the right direction? I cannot see a 'download' section, as it says in the instructions. I entered an E-mail addy and clicked the "Subscribe & download" button but it just refreshes the page, says I've registered successfully and that's it. No download links or pop-ups or anything. Any ideas? I'd really like to try this so I hope someone can show me what I'm obviously missing

Regards, Phsy.

Win x32 or x64 or Mac? I'll send you a link to the installer...or try again with any email address...the page saves, and refreshes with the download links...select what you want, then right click to download.

Thanks ever-so for the reply. I've tried with 3 x E-mail addresses now - same thing happens. Page refreshes, says it's registered successfully and that's all. Is it supposed to then show you the download links on screen or what?
From their own FAQ at bottom of page:

"Q: How do I download and install Studio One Free?

A: Visit studioone.presonus.com/free and find the Download section on the page. Click on the link for your computer’s operating system to start the download. Once downloaded, double-click on the installer. In Windows, follow the on-screen instructions to install. In OSX, click and drag the Studio One application to the Applications folder to install.

Once installed, launch the application and then click on Run the Free Version in the Activation menu."

Well; for starters; there is no 'Download' section on the page, let alone any links! It doesn't suggest anything about E-mail registering first before getting any links either.

I'm using IE 9, what browser are you using?
IE8. Wouldn't of thought that would be an issue though.
I'm using Firefox 18.01 all installed successfully. From studioone.presonus.com/free/ , I clicked on the download demo option, top right on that page, it links to studioone.presonus.com/dem…st/ selected the appropriate OS, saved the binary file to my computer. Once download completed, run that file, and followed the instructions to register etc. Hope this helps
Ahhh, see. No one said anything about downloading the 'demo' version. LOL! So, you have to download the full "2" version but activate it as a "free" version after installing. This does seem to contradict their own instructions really.

Thanks Boogie83e. I appreciate your help. I can see what you mean and I thought that's what was supposed to happen. Weirdly though, I just get the "E-mail registered successfully!" message and no links underneath at all. Ah well. I'll try again later after I've cleared my cookies/browser session etc. It might help.
Pretty good post, thanks OP. I wonder if all the bugs of Sudio One have been ironed out?

Review here (that I have yet to watch):
totallyguitars.com/mus…tml

Don't forget reaper.fm/ is a worthy alternative (and well worth supporting too i.e. buying a license).
Well, I cleared everything, fired up my Linux-on-a-stick and visited the pagelink to try again through Firefox browser instead of IE8. Absolutely no difference. Used good E-mail, page refreshed stating it registered successfully but still no links for download shown as per your example. The only weird difference between IE & FF that I noticed was that all the FAQ's at the bottom were automatically open on FF rather than clickable on IE - not that that's probably important.

So, I'm stumped! In all my years on the interwebamethingy, I've never had this happen. It seems like such a simple thing too. Not some complex, browser incompatability issue or such. I'm using Win x32 so if anyone could provide the download link then it would be appreciated. It's a shame they don't just do that on the page anyway instead of making people jump through the proverbial hoops all the time. Oh well...

^ All broswer plug-in's up to date: Flash?, Java?

Anyway uploading, Win 32 installer.exe & demo file.zip (total about 150MB) to my SkyDrive/Public...I will post links soon.

Also don't forget to download the...Studio One Instruments Vol. 1 and Studio One Musicloops Sound Sets (About 300MB)
before you run the demo file/song.

Thanks very much Boogie83e, your help is most appreciated.

Kind regards, Phsy.
What are the plugin instruments like? I'm so used to Native Instruments I'm wary of the quality of others.
To anyone who is facing a problem with the download links , here s a simple solution that i tried ,
no matter what browser you are using
just do the following
AFTER ENTERING YOU EMAIL ADDRESS JUST HIT ENTER ON YOUR KEYBOARD
& DONT CLICK ON SUBSCRIBE AND DOWNLOAD

hope this helps enjoy guys
