Seems a very good deal. I like the griddle pan especially. Does anyone have these pans and knows if the base of these are suitable for induction hobs? Not all stainless steel pans are...

Good price for a pan set. Prestige have been around awhile so they must be a decent standard.

or if you want 3 saucepans and a frying pan the 4 piece posted yesterday is only £22

The Prestige Insignia saucepans are made from stainless steel and have stainless steel lids and handles. These are an ideal introduction to the Prestige saucepan range, they are dishwasher safe, induction suitable and the fry pans from the range also have a non-stick coating.

thanks Davelfc!

Thanks OP .. Does anybody know if these are suitable for induction hobs.

Yes, apparently they are, see comments above. I've gone for it, as I've been looking for a decent (affordable!) induction wok, griddle pan and need some new frying pans. No need for the small pan but at this price I'm not complaining!

Just got a Prestige knife set (Groupon deal!) very impressed with the quality

Doesnt say that these are the Insignia range!
I have seen pans from this brand that are not sutable for induction,Online sellers need to be less lazy with discriptions.

Taken from the Prestige website:

ordered one thanks..

Ordered - Cheers

Call me negative but this is too cheap to be good. Unless the RRP is for real and Amazon makes an early Xmas present

Prestige pans are good, I've had some for years (not these though) and they are fantastic. The RRP is perhaps a bit inflated, I think the Prestige stainless steel sets are normally around £80ish, perhaps a bit cheaper on Amazon at times.

This pan set is not to be found on the Prestige web site. The info on their web site only applies to their range. My guess is that this is an amazon exclusive (inferior?) set of pans. I wouldn't rely on the suitability for induction hobs, for instance. Tesco is selling a 5 piece Prstige set for £95, which, imo, look superior.

I bought a Venier set once, hoping that it will be good quality because of the name. Utterly disappointed.

My guess is that it's an old range, now no longer stocked by Prestige. I've gone for it and can't wait to fry a nice, juicy steak in the griddle pan!

Price now gone up, will expire it.

Just received them, really pleased! Seem like excellent, heavy duty quality. Suitable for induction hobs (phew!)

It is still good value at £40.

With encapsulated bases the griddle, wok and frying pan are worth towards £20 each.
