My daughter has one and it is useable! I've had a go and it's not as bad as some tablets. Swipes quick, films load well and Internet isn't too bad. Would Defo buy one at this price

512 ram. Forget about it. Will be unusable. Cold. Even for free it's terrible specs.

Would be fine for a kid, I mean, break it, who cares

just read the reviews. I will give it a miss thanks anyway

Terrible customer support. Baltic

will this qualify for the £50 linx 10 cash back?

great deal for some if it does...

Should do, I reckon. Providing it powers up and works.
I got a 10" Linx in the Staples sell-off for my daughter, was reckoning to trade-in her 7" Joy (No, I know what you're thinking - behave, this is my daughter!).
Now it seems her tablet won't charge... so maybe this is about the best reliable option. £25 is better than nowt - and buying one of those might be called a public service, given their uselessness in practice

Oh! Much, much better than I'd thought then. If it runs like a greyhound with 512kb, what sort of dog with 512mb? Pluto maybe?

This is what I want to know as well. Picked up a Linx 10" but don't have a tablet to trade in for the £50 cashback. There doesn't appear to be a definitive answer on what is and isn't accepted. It states in the terms that it has to be at least 7" and power on, but I don't know whether to take the chance and buy this, trade in and hope to be £25 better off. Decisions, decisions.....

Good job it's not 512kb then.

Hope your all having a good one.

I know the 512mb RAM is an issue, but get some perspective as regards the price. Ok for kids or first tablet? If it were £60 or £70 I would get the lack of love, but it's well under £30 delivered. Surely there's certain functions that are not too RAM-hungry that would justify a purchase. Not everyone has even £50 to spend on such a device and given such a tight budget might appreciate this.

I know it's not an Apple/Sung all singing, all dancing multi-media-does-the-washing-and-ironing thingy but also it aint several hundred quid. If it does say 30/40% of it's more expensive counterparts surely that is relative value.

I'll put my tin hat on and be prepared for the ensuing barrage.....

Yes, it's definitely better than nothing (no need for tin hat Pulp, it's Christmas, season of GoodWill to all, so there's an armistice!).
You'll learn from it. Good housekeeping will be essential, being choosy over what you install and deleting apps you don't much use. Correct me if I'm wrong, anyone, but I'd say it's not so much that the tablet's fault, but it has been overtaken - as tablets have developed and grown, apps have been updated and are bigger and hungrier, so what used to be perfectly adequate starts struggling to cope. And as things progress it will struggle more and more until....... it becomes sooo tiresome to use, perhaps.
Like my old Wildfire phone, which became almost unusable as updates installed themselves. It's obsolescence without anyone actually pulling the rug from under it. But when I cleared everything off that phone (having replaced it) and just had the bare minimum, it sprang back to life. Well, not exactly sprang - it's knees creaked and it puffed and panted, but made it!
So you'll be running it on a tight (energy) budget, and perhaps the most frustrating thing may be that it won't run some apps. But, just as good housekeeping is a good discipline, sometimes reduced choice can be not at all bad!
That's my two pennorth, anyway!

A very balanced sensible reply Offalot, I'm not over sensitive, but merely offer a much cheaper alternative if people are aware of it's limitations before they buy. And a very Merry Christmas to you. We're all here to help each other, I just offer an alternative for those on a tight budget.

Still way more usable then a Raspberry Pi

Would this be any good for my gadget obsessed 2 year old girl to keep her off of mine? She watches cartoons on youtube, like taking and looking at photos, and plays apps downloaded from play store for kiddies, like jigsaws, glow draw, flash cards, animal sounds, balloon popping etc. Cant waste £30 if it cant even run a you tube video without loading every 10 seconds lol

Good price for this tablet can't fault it for this kind of money. However buying it for kids would be a mistake, these budget tablets need to be used carefully to ensure they run smooth not something kids will be able to do, it will start running poorly and become very frustrating. It is more suited to a video player and browsing functions.

It is now only £23.18 delivered using code ; TAKE20

Very true .. but its 512MB .. not 512KB .. 512KB would both figuratively & literally render this Tablet 'dead'?! lol. :-)
