Good price for 1 litre, But I think you can get it on Amazon for the same price delivered.
It's a funny one isn't it because you'd only ever buy this stuff in an emergency, and in an emergency you're not really going to care how much it costs. Otherwise you'd buy regular coolant at a fraction of the cost. In fact if you're only chucking a litre or less in, you can probably get away with just using water.

I've used it (when there's been no choice) and it hasn't ever caused an issue, no matter what is already in the pipes...

Why only in an emergency? I bought 3 bottles to change my coolant, costing me £9, instead of the £52 the garage was going to charge me for doing the same thing.
Regarding the post, useful to know when it's half price, thanks Op!
Am I right in assuming, there are a couple of different types of anti freeze and they cant be mixed, is one for Aluminium?

Yeah, there are a number of different types. The Prestone one is OK to mix with any type that is already in the system.

Are you sure 3 litres is correct? That seems like a very small amount...

In an emergency surely you'd just use plain water? If it was a case of fixing the leak/hose to enable you to continue your journey.
And if your car does suddenly lose a load of coolant there's likely some other serious problem with it too.
Sure Poundland sell a litre for £1. Is this stuff ready mixed or concentrate? Can surely dilute as you don't need -37C protection in UK.
