    Why? Normally you shouldn't mix different types, this is one you can mix with anything. Did a fair bit of research recently as my son's mini was losing coolant. Eventually replaced water pump which was failing and broken cheap flimsy plastic crossover pipe and filled with this stuff as the stuff BMW recommend is replace every 2 or 3 years, this is every 10 (although I'd probably replace after 5 if the money pit doesn't blow up before that)
