Prestone Extreme Screenwash 2L - £3.50 at Tesco - The best screen wash available at a good price

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

As the cold sets in we will all pop some screenwash in but most are pretty ineffective & start freezing up. Trying to drive a car with all the winter grime being thrown onto screen with the washer fluid frozen is lethal.

Autoexpress did a test by placing various washer fluids in extreme cold temperatures. Prestone Extreme Performance came out the clear winner.
It claims of withstanding temps as low as -23c held true.
There are various versions of Prestone, only this version stands Upto extreme temps.

Here is quick summary of the test
3127980.jpgUnfortunately like all things that are good, cost becomes an issue but it can be purchased at Tesco for £3.50 for 2l.

Elsewhere it's priced much higher.
Amazon it's £7.04

3127980.jpgAt Eurocarparts it's £5. No discount code can be applied.
3127980.jpgSo dont waste your money on cheap stuff you see piled in supermarket entrances. They freeze up anything slightly below 0c.
If the washer fluid freezes it can ruin the pump that sprays the liquid onto the screen.

As well as this price being competitive , it's also how truly effective this product is that imo makes this a good deal

Safe motoring folks.

This leaves unbelievable smears across my windscreen, I had to ditch it for the regular Tesco brand.
The TripleQX all season screenwash is one of the best around , sold by eurocarparts. Also the fragranced ones I would recommend als

Not a good idea to be using as an after shave mate.

Maybe you didn't dilute it enough?

I've used the one that needs to be diluted from Costco and also the one that's ready to use from Tesco and they both leaves smears which I find to be quite dangerous, might be to do with the Rain X additive, but in any case I don't have this issue with the cheapo washes.

It's good for summer but in very cold weathers its going to struggle. If used at 100% rate with no water added it works to a claimed -15c.the Prestone works at -23c.

I've been using the Costco screen wash for years, I've never had issues with smears.
The op is trying too hard to sell this!

Yep, i won't touch Prestone screenwash , it has a RainX type additive that causes smears and fogging.
Sadly it looks like Tesco's own brand now has something in it that causes smears - its like an oily residue is put on the screen. So avoid Tesco screenwash too.
