Good saving, i always need coffee and helps reduce waste which sounds good to me!

Pret’s decision means the chain’s filter coffee would cost just 49p for customers bringing in their own cup.

You would also be paying £1.65 for a regular coffee latte, down from £2.15

I sometimes think this when I walk into tesco with a sainsburys bag
Anything that might help all the plastic crap going in the oceans. I'm no environmental campaigner but reading the reports on plastic waste in the oceans recently is incredibly alarming. Have to stop using the stuff and throwing it away. Straws, lids, stirrers all really bad culprits.

Costa has been doing this for past 2 months.
Just to clatify what I said - They can't give food away directly to the homeless. Almost all want to bag up the leftovers and walk the streets to give them to the homeless...sadly they can't

The retailers can't give the leftovers that way, that's when the charities step in

Then lower or change the reward when the uptake reaches a certain %.Personally I don't see any reason a filter couldn't be free to reusable cups via an app. Just charge for the hand crafted stuff.

They've been giving 25p discount if a customer brings his own cup, and 50p now.

Costa offer 25p off all the time so a better deal me thinks

Pret does 25 all the time, too.
what if my cup is 10 liters?

@goonertillidie just a heads up that this offer isn't solely for the first week of January, but rather ongoing indefinitely
