Yep not gonna lie, these are super chewy and the orange flavour doesn't taste good. I've only eaten 1 bar and don't feel like eating the rest. Thinking it might be a crime to give it to the poor.

12g of sugar per bar is quite high!

Feels the same after eating 1 bar, I got 2 boxes same deal last time. Good I have stocked some bodylab hazelnut and some redcon MRE bars.

Stop at one bar. The amount of maltitol in this brands bars has made me feel ill on numerous occasions. I could eat two bars of a decent brand (PhD, Grenade, ON etc) and be fine. Two of Sci Mx and it's guaranteed gastrointestinal distress.

These have less Maltitol then Grenade bars :/

Really? That's a surprise. Mustn't be the maltitol then. I bulk bought the Strawberries and Cream a few months ago (taste is alright) but they tore my insides apart if I had more than one. Literally any other brand I'm OK with, including the Tesco own brand ones.

Well it's all down to the individual as far as taste.I bought these and also the Grenade orange quake and prefer the Sci Mx for taste. Also not affected my stomach.

I try to avoid protein bars. Polyols ain't good for the gut period. I have them as a very rare treat
You would think these would be cheaper as they have under 3 days to sell them and have over 3 thousand to sell.

It's a Best before date so can still sell after that date as product will still be fine.

but very dodgy... no decent shop would sell after the best before date... and would no doubt make the shop liable for the quality and safety of the product.

You dont understand the difference bewteen best before and use by then, best before products are called that because only the taste and texture will be effected after it, they are BEST consumed before that date but wont become harmful after it.
Do they contain milk?

Fulfil bars are good for low sugar bars and taste pretty good to.
Argos seem to be one of the cheapest places to get some at £20 a box.

And many other people don't realise or know the difference. Its a shame when you consider how much BB food must be thrown away and wasted by people who do not comprehend the difference.

I am afraid its you that doesn't understand... Cream cakes have a best before date... Doesn't mean they are safe to eat after a month or a year does it.

Just because they can sell after the best before date doesn't mean they can sell if unsafe or where it has too low quality... That's still illegal.. so without a use by date etc who is to say they are safe? Hence the responsibility would be down on the retailer hence opening themselves up to lawsuits if someone got ill etc after eating it... If they only sold upto the best before date they can blame the manufacturer.

If it's a fresh cream cake it won't have a best before date but a use by date.
Milk, Cream , Fresh Meat etc have a use by dates as they can be dangerous to eat after the use by date.
Best before are on things like vegetables cakes crisp that lose freshness but up to a point are safe to eat after best before dates.
Bread has a best before date. After the best before that it can be eaten but it won't be as soft. You have to use common sense though as bread will go mouldy so I throw it away.
I have protein powder that's 4 months past its BBE but I still use it

Correct,
waltersuk is wrong, anything involving cream etc have a use by date.As you say protein powder lasts months after its best before date along with many other food items.

your missing the point... just because a product has best before does not mean it 100% safe after... by your lots logic any best before product can be eaten 1,000 years past the best before date and be safe to eat.
also are you going to eat mouldy bread months / years past the best before date??? safe??

You are just being silly with your comments now.
It's all a matter of common sense
Just read the FSA and NHS guidelines,it may help you.

So all food past its Best before date is safe.... But you have to use common sense else its not safe...logical

Which is my point... not all food with a best before date is safe after this date.. there needs to be a judgement on when its safe which is 1 of the reasons supermarkets wont sell it !! and why it could lead to lawsuits.

If you cant see the simple logical then I guess there no point arguing with stupid. .

You were saying all food was not safe after BB .
You are the one who does not and cannot see commonsense and come out with ridiculous comments like eating food after 1000 years.
If that's not a stupid comment to make what is
Where on earth did I say all food was not safe after the BB.. please quote me!! guess you can't read as well as not having any logical sense.
and as for 1000 years it was called making a point that is BB dated products do not have an additional used by date and therefore you can't say when its safe 100% unless you get it tested in a lab.

Can you ?
from the FSA
The best before date, sometimes shown as BBE (best before end), is about quality and not safety. The food will be safe to eat after this date but may not be at its best.

It appears not
Do you understand safe to eat,or is that beyond your comprehension
but for stupid people I'll make it clear some if not many products are safe a few years after the BB date, but its stupid to say all are and not give a time period.

This is a generic and unsafe message to send out... they are mearly saying food after this date can be safe to eat.. try asking them directly if yogurt bread etc is safe to eat after a year.

The NHS say the same message so that's good enough for me.

No point going on debating this any longer.
You will clearly discard any food after the use by date and I will apply commonsense and judge it on its merits at the time.
I've just said many food products are safe year after the BB date, so dont assume anything because you clearly aren't smart enough to assume things... I have sent an email to the FDA so lets see what they say!!
