You have been a holiday deal machine lately, heat added!

p.s. I prefer this break to the prison or caravan deals but good to have some variety!
Edited by: "Chanchi32" 2nd Feb 2014

Great hotel. Can recommend it.

Would suggest a different hotel if you go for it, heard from a few different people that have gone in the last couple of years that the Luxor's going downhill.

Have you not been then Frankie? as the comment above yours is recommending it?

Nah haven't got enough free cash to do Vegas in the style how I'd like to do it, just recommendations from a few others I know who've been.

Hotel looks like a great stay!

I thought you were?

I'd second Frankie, haven't stayed there personally but have been to vegas 3 times.
Just reading on Las Vegas tripadvisor forum people say the pyramid rooms are very run down. Tower rooms are better but location isn't great on the Luxor.
Saying that it is a lot better than circus circus or stratosphere, avoid these at all costs

Luxor is fine, most hotels are used as base anyway, hardly spend time in the rooms! Location wise it's quite far down the strip, but the rest of the strip is easily accessible by monorails and just walking.

It's not the best Vegas hotel but also not close to the worst, and would make a great base as its just a walk through to the Mandalay Bay.
Fab price, want to go back now

We have stayed at the Luxor 3 times the last time was in September 2013. The pyramid room we stayed in was perfect. The buffet breakfast was the best, went to MGM for breakfast but didn't match the Luxor and was more expensive. When we go again it will be The Luxor.

Was there in November loved it rooms are excellent would go back in a minute
Very tempted at this price

aww what a lovely thing to say lol thank you - the nice comments make it all worth while

Great deal on a great hotel, we had a fantastic room just behind the sphinx's head.....shame to hear some rooms are looking tired, because its one of the best we stayed in in vegas

this is NOT a good deal, and Luxor is NOT a 4 star hotel!

if you look about expedia, you can easily get similar deals and you can choose your hotel

i been plenty of times, and paid similar money for 12 days direct flight staying at the bellagio (granted it was oct/nov and on a deal)

COLD!

I've stayed at this hotel & its great - like the others have said it's just a base for exploring but its a great base Nice rooms & pool - near to the airport & some lovely views & shows - GO FOR IT !

gosh - sounds a bit like marmite - so many seem to love it but others dont. But then it seems to be the ones that havent been there that dont?

I've stayed across the road at the MGM Grande but we did eat at one of the Luxor restaurants and it seemed nice enough.

Haha yeah, I know when I do get to Vegas i'm going to spend a fortune, don't want to go & be worried about what I spend.

You only have to look at the trip advisor reviews for it though & the 2nd review is from someone who stayed there in the past & then talks about how the standards have slipped since then when they went back recently. Though there does seem to be a fair few good reviews for it as well.

I am quite safe then - cant spend what you havent got ha ha

Stayed there twice. 2006 and 2012. It has aged over that time, but both times we have stayed in the pyramid. Basic room and also some sort of super suite on the penultimate floor. Apparently the towers they have are a lot fresher, and more modern, but if I go Vegas, the quirkier, the better we tend not to be fussed about Luxor itself, but the joy of Vegas is you aren't tied to your hotel - tho it's easier to stay and use the pool of the hotel you stay in.

Very few of SS's deals are good...it just seems to be some sort of HUKD cult to fawn over the averagely priced holidays she finds on Tesco Compare.

Precisely why i'm not going to Vegas anytime soon, can't imagine it's much fun whilst having to watch what you spend.

bit harsh to be honest as it helps people without the time or know how to find these deals. They are genuinely good prices and you cant always get a deal to suit everyone. My mum use to say if you dont have anything constructive to say dont say anything at all

You get a better deal and arguably better chips at Blackpool pleasure beach plus plenty of 10p slots so I don't know what all the hot fuss is about all over this.

You can get in a flea ridden B&B in February right next to the tower for less than twenty quid a pop, with the full force of the ocean in your face whats not to like? Plus there a bonus Tesco Xtra selling fags and crisps just up the road next to the DHS hostel too.

Tesco should push these closer to home deals harder, every little helps. Fresh and Easy didn't go down to well over the pond so why cuddle up to the states, cmon Tesco, British is best, you know it makes sense. coolish.

i stayed at luxor last year.....had a fab stay!

Stayed there last January for CES (won an all expenses trip at work for me and 5 colleagues :o)

I'd rate it as a good 3 star, maybe not a 4. The view across the atrium from our rooms halfway up were fantastic. The diagonal lifts are fun too.

we done the stratosphere in a new strip view room , all newly refurbished , £200 for 8 nights , its the top end of the strip but a great hotel , your in vegas every hotel is open to anyone to use , so why pay £1000 for 8 nights at the Wynn if you can use every hotel anyway

Love Vegas!

Luxor is fine as a base if you're prepared to do a good bit of walking even between the monorails on that side of the strip. On the plus side if you walk about 15 mins down the side of the MGM car parks (which are epic) you get to a petrol station which is great to stock up on supplies rather than the mega expense of the strip.

I went in May last year and it hit 42 degrees on the strip so I'd imagine it'll still be toasty in April haha!

Heat added for a good deal. But even though I love Vegas, I couldn't leave fast enough after my first trip there and that was just five nights. Seven nights would drive me up the wall. Trust me, less is more with Las Vegas. And I love the place!

Luxor is the best of the cheap hotels. Perfectly fine hotel.
Avoid Circus Circus at all costs!

I did not see this lol have some heat Stacey sorry I could not add pictures and reviews and I think they will be sort of useless right at the back lol

Stayed at the Luxor, room was great. Buffet in the evening was not so great. Highly recommend going next door to the House of blues fab food and fab service. Just out the front is a bus stop that takes you all the way up the strip and beyond stopping outside most of the hotels. You can either buy a 24 hour, 3 day or 7 day bus pass from the machine at the bus stop the 24 hour cost around 5 bucks if I remember correctly.
Good deal
