AO.Com are currently offering £40 off all TVs over £399 taking this into account this is priced at £449.99 but Amazon also have it at £409 so with the price match and the £40 off you should get it for £369 which is £20 less than the last deal and no faffing about with memberships that some users couldn't access

What you on about? It does have hdr...

Brill.

Hi, this did not work.

did it work for you?

they said to me on the phone -they would not do both so it wouldn't be £369 it would be £409.

how did you get that?

I did argue how there is no consistency here. just tried my luck I guess. not to worry no skin off of my nose.

Does this TV upscale 1080p images so it looks good?

Is it decent HDR?

Had a similar experience in the past - they wouldn't price match and then add the code for further discount. Worth a go but hit and miss.

1)Get amazon to price match
2) Get another retailer to match amazon and discount
3)???
4) Free TV

Your Welcome

Dush is Albanian for shower, so sounds like you need a shower washer, that certainly would be a novel item, I wonder who invented that, I bet they won on Dragon's Den.

They offer the code which gives you £40 off the original £449. = £409 which already matches Amazon. So do you expect them to match Amazon BEFORE they apply the coded discount ? Good luck with that one. Let me know if anyone gets that deal price.

good tv for £409 though...

No it will have the ability to read the metadata but has not got the hardware to do anything with it essentially it has no HDR ability but it is a good price for what you are getting.

I suspect this thread was created for me to be the donkey, still I'd do it if it meant I got the TV

I should lie to you like lots of people do on here probably...

"yer I got the TV wow great deal the guy on the phone gave it straight away... my 699 inch £369 ULTRA 4K 100000bit HDR TV will be here by 5am tomorrow"

IF only lol

dishwasher obviously lol...
the only thing I wanted once Albanian was digitALB tv channel for all those premiership games.

you probably got someone like me who works for the company. Nice, easygoing, friendly person who wouldn't give a flying f*** how much he sells a TV for just as long as the salary gets paid at the end of the month!

Just rang up and price matched this tv with amazon, also got the extra £40 off. I paid £369 with free delivery and they confirmed it’s got HDR. Don’t think I’m gonna beat this price

On the basis that this TV isn't going to get any lower price wise for Black Friday, but isn't "True HDR". If OLED is cost prohibitive what True HDR 49" would be recommended / recommended to look out for on Black Friday for Xbox One X and general movie watching?

SONY BRAVIA KD49XE90 may go sub £1000 or remaining stock of last years Samsung KS range can be found here and there,i did see Richer Sounds selling refurbished Panasonic TX58DX902B set's for around £1200 it is a fantastic set.

Does everyone not get it by now, tv manufacturers are huge liars, the hdr has been explained on every thread. Its like the whole inflated hz. Ill admit i haven't looked into this tv, but i suspect its the "this tv can except a hdr signal and display an image". At this price point and size it would be unheard of to have actual hdr, would it not?

That's really helpful, thanks Gazman! Will keep an eye out for those you've suggested and hopefully drop on a bargain 🏻 🏻

Cracking price - However, please stay well clear of this particular model. Bought the 43" variant & returned it. Terrible viewing angles & dull/dim, if you're not sat right in front of TV and in-line. Supposed to be 178 degrees of IPS viewing, but if you're anywhere on both sides past 120/130 degrees from the dead centre of screen (considering dead centre = 90 degrees), the picture become very dark & fuzzy.

This has come down in price for a reason. I paid £389 for the 43" one 4 weeks back from Richer Sounds - They charged me £58 to return it, but I am glad I did.

Here's a comparison of other LG TV models with this one, I think you might fare better with a different model or take the time out & view various models (from different angles) in Currys or Richer Sounds etc.

Comparison: hotukdeals.com/com…901

If you can't get the extra discount this price is the same as at Amazon. Putting aside the fact that amazon's C.S. is the best in the business, another thing that hasn't been mentioned is that the TV at Amazon comes with a free 5 year warranty.
