Pricing error? Philips 55" FHD TV for only £380 at Amazon! - Temporarily out of stock

Seems to be priced wrongly and Amazon are selling (for preorder) the 55" at the 43" price. 65" also available, under £500 (although advisable to go for a 4K equivalent if you want 65").

55" FHD is fine if you have no need for 4K sources (and Philips / TPV always have great picture and sound quality but expect software to be ropey, although you can fix this with an external streaming device eg Roku or Fire TV stick, or if your external device/console/player is already smart).

Only 2x HDMI although you can get auto switch boxes that self power from one of the TVs USB ports for about £8-15.

Probably an IPS panel from LG in here, or maybe BOE which are perfectly good for most people.

Just don't say I didn't warn you if there are software bugs, that's Philips's specialty.

Showing as Temporarily Out Of Stock but past experience tells us if you order now Amazon will honor this price, even if it's an error.

Price ok for a non 4k tv

You can pick the 55 but it does say 43inch in the order page.
In the description it says 50" rather than 65" but in the selection box it says 65" though

You got me so excited at one point...
It does say 55 inch but in the title it's 43 inch. So it probably a mix up.

I paid £319 for my 49 inch 4k TV about 2 year ago. So I don't think this is much of a deal.
£319 49 4K didn’t happen unless it’s an unheard of brand
When you tell her you've hot 9 inches but you only have 4
Funny. Really funny.
Adds 43" to basket.

So yes, error; but not for the right reasons - sorry!

Guys and gals, pick 55" in the slectiom box and the price is 380, hence my pricing error comment. Amazon will deliver the 55
Even if it were 55 inches, I don't believe this is a good deal for a Full HD TV.

This Hisense 55 inch Smart 4K TV is only £399 at Richer Sounds, and that comes with their sterling 6 year guarantee:

In the past they always have honored these and even if they didn't (very unlikley) and you were delivered the smaller one, you would get a completely free return and maybe even a voucher to apologise.

Hisense are great but those low end models have terrible viewing angles (bad even for a va panel - I had two). Best Hisense at cheap price right now is the N6800.

This, you can get a 4k tv for about £300ish, I bought a 4k tv from Amazon for £230 last year! Great gift for my parents😁

WTF is Techwood?

It's a bit like driftwood....only it doesn't float

oh and perhaps the more crucial bit...it's not wood!

The lovechild of technics and kenwood perhaps

Not even Ambilight (the only reason to buy a Philips TV)

WTF is Techwood?

I believe it's Turkish. They make Toshiba TVs and make super markets own brand. They just pic a different brand on it depending on what store. Techwood was Woolworths and ao.com now sell them. The parents company is called Vestel
