EXPIRED!
Looks like a pricing error but description clearly shows 65" even if the selection box is greyed out. You could surely get a free return if they send you the 55" because the description clearly states 65", so it's worth a try!
VA panel, silver, highly rated TV (4/5 for performance and PQ at DigitalVersus). Not Android but a fast simple smart platform with all the basic apps including Freeview Play coming soon - for more just add an external smart box/stick.

The 65" is £1299...it clearly displays as much when you click on the greyed out 65" box...
they changed the price as i seen clearly as it was 65
That's the 55" version price, 65" is £1299
You'll get a 55". May as well get the black for £50 less.
Being a tad optimistic, I think? Says 55-inch twice in the description, so is one typing error worth the hassle of returning a bulky item and/or arguing your case with Amazon?

I think the most you'll probably get is a £5 Gift Voucher or something..

Yep, sadly this one dont work.
I've followed it all the way to checkout, still showing £799
Shame.

My wife was just saying she'd like to try something larger in the bedroom!
ummm so tempting as it stays at 65 inch all the way through. not sure I want £800 sitting around waiting to find out
im pretty sure it wont come in an amazon box so just refuse delivery its the 55" and it will be returned and refunded

Yes. It will. It will also get delivered to you too and be a 55" TV. Click on the greyed out 65" and the price is £1299

Hmmm what's the twist in that line? Lol
i won't go for it as 65" is way too big. im hoping for an offer this bank holiday!
It was £799 for the 65" when I looked at it within seconds of posting, but the page updated itself to £1299 before my eyes.
Says £789 for me. And what is in the basket before I click "buy now" is the 65" TV mentioned above. I don't need one so am not ordering but it would be nice to hear if someone does order one what TV actually turns up.

The price has never been £799 for the 65"

Whatever the description is - it may be not precise or just contains errors, especially if it's multi-item listing.
But - you're buying SONY KD65XE7002 model. Period.
(by the way - it's 65")
If delivered something different - it's not what you ordered. Regardless the description.
On the bright side, the price has gone down to £789 Sometimes Camelcamelcamel doesn't register very short-term Amazon price changes (seen it happen before) - but I don't know how long the 65" option said £799 - if that even happened, seems like anthony712 might be confused, as the OP said:

..and, of course, the Deal link amazon.co.uk/Son…HP5 has a header "Sony Bravia KD65XE7002 4K HDR Smart TV (X-Reality PRO for Enhanced Clarity, Texture and Detail Picture Quality, 2017 Model) - 65 inch, Black [Energy Class a_plus] [Energy Class a_plus]" but mentions 55 inch twice in the listing. Product Details says: Item model number: KD55XE7073SU

It's a gamble but from years of dealing with Amazon, I'd be very surprised if you were able to argue your case for a bigger TV at £500 more, due to one error in the description. They'll just tell you to return it and offer you a Gift Credit.

If you have the time to deal with a potential return and are looking for a solid 65" TV, what have you got to lose by snapping one up? Amazon CS is really good if you "end up" with the 55"...

Oh dear, I've offended someone already - well, if it upsets you so much, I'll edit it. Looking at your posts, they're hardly grammatically, or even punctuation-perfect, either!

Doesn't upset me, just cannot believe what I am reading. Yes of course you had time to look at all my posts in the last two minutes. Never mind.

I had a quick look, just to see if you were being a hypocrite - if it brightens up your day being sarky to strangers online, be my guest.
high chance you will get the 55inch delivered, but as the invoice will state 65inch thanks to the listing header you could state the wrong item has been delivered - from my experience they will re order a replacement in advance whilst the incorrect item is pending collection from courier for return.
Tempted to try this... how good are Amazon at honouring mistakes?

Seconded, as it actually states 65" and the right model number in the title there is a VERY good chance you would be able to get the correct set either delivered or have them swap the 55" out if that is what turns up. If it had just said 65" in the description then that is much more tenuous as you would have nothing on your order to prove it but having it right there in the title places the onus right on Amazon to deliver the right product (or at least cancel before payment taken).

If I had more space and money, I'd be more than happy to try this....

That's not how Amazon works. If you let them process the replacement you will receive another 55"
Well I ordered and I received an email from them with all the details stating 65" and the full model number which is different to the 55" version. They didnt take funds at first so I presumed it would be cancelled. But just had an dispatch email and the funds have been taken. Delivery is Saturday.

Spoke to Amazon on chat who confirmed its the 65" version I will receive. So I got the transcript emailed to me so have it in writing.
Fingers crossed it is the 65" but not holding much hope still.
