Excellent price for this new book. Either use as a filler itself or bung an item for £1.40+ into your basket to get free delivery (which is still the cheapest price)

The moment, Monster-lit mash-ups. 'Its a truth universally acknowledged that a zombie in possession of brains must be in want of more brains. Never was this truth more plain than during the recent attacks at Netherfield Park, in which a household of eighteen was slaughtered and consumed by a horde of the living dead.' So begins Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Los Angeles screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith, in which Jane Austen's Regency prose is drenched in human gore and spiked with Shaolin ninja moves...Scholars think it's a bloody travesty, and the fans agree - the bloodier the better. --The Times magazine, April 18, 2009

Review
A quirky twist. Wannabe novelists looking for a marketable idea can settle on an already successful literary classic that is a surefire seller, add a twist and put it out there all over again. That appears to be the way forward for some, including a version of "Pride and Prejudice", published by Quirk Books in which the original text is enhanced with new scenes of zombies, by Seth Grahame-Smith.

Filler that’s pushing it, free delivery on orders over £5.00:p

Is it actually any good?

Reviews are very mixed... definately not filler item material. I quite like some of Tom Holland's book, not sure if this'd be anything like that.

its vvv cheap compared to stores. buy it if ur a zombie fan id say! i havent read it but i laffed my ass off looking thru it!

so, if you are buying a £2.98 DVD/CD this would make a better filler than, say, a wooden spoon IMO. Or if you wanna buy the book then add a £1.40+ filler to avoid the postage costs.

lol voted hot

no this is terrible, and boring!

It's 2 quid in Fopp and it looks a bit rubbish.

Its good if you appreciate the prose and humour. Basically its literary marmite....buy cheap to taste!

Half way through it and it's quite good. Not the best read but certainly read alot worse.

i agree.

Admittedly there won't be many people who enjoy Jane Austen's work and also the odd zombie flick - but if (like me) you do - you'll find plenty of fun in this book. The illustrations are ace too!

This seems to be the 'in thing' at the moment in zombie novels.
There is another called War of the Worlds plus blood, guts and Zombies by Eric S. Brown.
It's a mash up with a zombie outbreak happening at the same time as the martians invade lol.
Good fun.

Wait and we will see Star Wars and Zombies, 4 Zombies and a Funeral and Zombie Lassie.

for a great zombie book, read 'world war Z'

basically written in the form of a writer taking accounts of a zombie outbreak 10 years after the event. great read.
