“When an item is listed as "New Other" it means the product is new and unused, with absolutely no signs of wear. So any camera can be attached?

It's a 1/4 in Thread mount, which is pretty standard on most cameras. Bigger cams tend to have a bigger thread mount size requirement though.

Camera tripods seem to be something you shouldn't buy on impulse. Anyone with knowledge know if this is a good deal?
Good price better than one leg

No, only Sony.
I'd buy it for use as a light stand or similar, but wouldn't put my camera on it.
I'd only buy a tripod that has independent leg movement and not one that's restricted by being connected to the centre column.

I can recommend this travel tripod, but it's slightly more expensive

Well, I guess its better than nothing for compacts, bridge,small dslrs & small video cameras, - but in this ballpark price range I'd spend a few pounds more & get this Velbon from Jessops...
>> Velbon EF-44 (was £60 up until a few days ago but now £28.98 inc delivery if you put in voucher code TRIPODS10)
{Or just £26.99 if you still have a Jessops near you}

Yes, It might say a slightly lower max weight of 2.2kg - but lets face it, if you're looking to buy a tripod in this price range, its unlikely youre going to have a camera/lens combo that weighs more than 2kg.

And I can confirm that the thread on this will fit ALL but the largest cameras - its standardised 1/4"-20 UNC thread that goes back around 100 years.
Metrification of camera threads just never happened!!
