Primark AA or AAA Alkaline Batteries - 10 Pack

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

At just 14p per battery, this has to be one of the current hottest deals on alkaline AA or AAA batteries.

I used to buy the IKEA 10 pack but the they have rapidly risen in price from £1 to £2.25 so no longer the value for the money they once were.

The difference between the best and worst alkaline batteries is about 15%, so for sheer pound for pound value, very hard to beat.
They can always be worse than the last worst.
Always been this price and decent batteries

True about the price. My reason for posting is simply because no-one has posted the Primark battery deal before.

It's reassuring to know that they're pretty decent too!

I think within the stores they get lost in amongst the clothes etc and not always clearly marked up. They are a good price
Hot OP. I had no idea that Primark had batteries. Sincei can buy primark gift vouchers at a discount from zeek or my workplace scheme... quids in
I got some of the AA ones and they came out at 1276 mah @ 200mA discharge. Cheaper than poundland who now only sell you 5 kodak for £1 but not as good.

Although the tests online of the Kodak ones are from 4 or 5 years ago
excellent batteries
Packaging reminds me of the IKEA batteries which I believed to be best value-for-money... maybe same OEM

If you're right, it means IKEA have been profiteering and would explain the way beyond inflation price increase, bearing in mind it was only a few years ago that IKEA were selling these 10 packs for just a £1 back then. If Primark can sell these for £1.40 so can IKEA.
I would never dream of accusing one of the world's largest companies of profiteering... it's bizness, ain't it? EKAH can always say that their biz model is very different - overheads, advertising & marketing, etc. I'm sure they would say that they are committed to bringing the best products at the best price for their valued customers... by the way, have you seen our new range of <insert useful tat here>?!? I'll see if I can dig out one of the packs for comparison, Nigel
I find these, along with the IKEA batteries have a high chance of leaking. I've used a few packs of them and I've had at least one leak per pack.
How long for it to leak? I've had all different brands leak but usually it's by the time I should have replaced or removed the batteries

Prior to purchasing the Primark batteries, I've been using IKEA AA and AAA batteries frequently over the last 5 years or so and leakage has never been a problem. Leakage normally occurs when you leave a battery in an appliance that hasn't been used for a long time.
good price that, i used to buy the wilko ones but they have doubled in price! and even then that was for 8
