Ubisoft's popular video-game series of the same name gets adapted for the big screen in this sweeping fantasy adventure starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Gemma Arterton. The setting is sixth century Persia. A nefarious nobleman covets the Sands of Time, a legendary gift from the gods that allows its possessor to turn back time. Whoever owns the Sands of Time has the power to rule the world, and this villainous lord would use that power to enslave all of humanity. The only person capable of defeating this tyrant and saving the world is Dastan (Gyllenhaal), a youthful prince. Now, with plucky princess Tamina (Gemma Arterton) by his side, Dastan will attempt to prevent the Sands of Time from falling into the wrong hands. Mike Newell (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) directs a script penned by Carlo Bernard, Doug Miro, Jordan Mechner, and Boaz Yakin. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

i didn't think it was the greatest of films plot-/script-wise, but jake gyllenhall, gemma arterton, and ben kingsley are all excellent actors, and i'd definitely pick it up at that price
heat from me ^^

thanks, hot from me

Very good price but I thought the film was pretty poor. Lots of running up walls like the game, but the story was really weak.

Poor film (as it is with all films based on video games) but good price

poor film.

Voted Hot, just cause its a great movie. already have the DVD

film not the best but my 6yr old likes it and a steel on bluray at this price

Good action but appalling story line. One to get if you are a fan. Voted hot on price.

It was still stickered at £14 when I went in earlier, I think.
But it could easily be reduced when scanned through.

£14 in the 2 stores I've just visited...

Films based on games aren't usually very good but this is one of the better ones.

Great price, Crap film! Made even worse by the fact that Jake Gyllenhaal, who is an American, has an English accent, playing a character who is from the Middle East???

Awful film. i wish i could have the magical power to rewind my life too.

Really painful unfortunately. Not even Gemma Arterton can distract you from it.

I loved this film, thought it was brilliant (sounds like I'm in the minority though!)

Shame it's gone back up in price, guessing its not worth checking the local Tesco's at all?

I really enjoyed the film - take it for what it is and you will enjoy

at my tescos this was £22 on shelf had it scanned and it went through at £14

£14.00 now Robin gits

thanks again op. just had my email to it's been dispatched at £6.99
