I purchased the pineapple and coconut one last week and its lovely :-)

Just to add that they are not with all the other fruit juices, but on the shelves above the fridges or tucked away inside the shop. The only fruit juices cheaper within Lidl are the cranberry juices that have 20% more sugar for 10p less.

I used the pineapple and coconut one in a fruit punch that went down nicely at a youth event on Friday

The reason they are cheaper, is because they are NOT fruit juices- they are DRINKS (mostly water).

Natural fructose gets replaced with sucrose.

To be honest most fruit juice drinks are between 4 and 5% fruit concentrate and differ in their sugar content. I'll have a stab at adding the word "drink" to the title. I always look at them as fruit juices, now that you point it out, they all say "juice drink"!

Lol

I just read this as Prince drinks fruit juice at Lidl

I thought how the mighty fall!

If you can't tell the difference between them then fair enough, but them being heavily diluted with water is the reason why they're cheaper than the own-brand pure fruit juice.

Apple juice drinks or pure apple juice? As said above, there is a big difference! Though even pure that seems a bit pricey, it's less than that in the other supermarkets.

TBH, I have only just noticed the difference in "Fruit Juice drinks" and "Fruit Juice". However, the price is definately better than the same size Tropical Juice drink sold in Lidl which is a straight "like for like" comparison.

Can find the orange, apple and pineapple ones in B&M for 39p too

Carton should read: Princes 40% Pineapple, Sugar, 1% Coconut Drink with Mysterious Flavourings
