Princes Skinless Boneless Mackerel Fillets in Sauce 125G - Tesco for 80p

I'm usually more than happy to have the supermarket own brand of tinned mackerel but the Princes stuff is reduced by 60p at the moment and their mustard sauce variety is spectacular.

Cleared the shelves of my local branch and hopefully someone else will share my passion.

Aye. As I said in the OP, I'm the same.

But I haven't found a supermarket own brand version with mustard, so this is specifically a bargain for that variety.

Heat for princes . 🤘
75p in Asda for John West and 57p or 65p for Asda own brand dependent on variety.
I genuinly think the tescos own is so much better, they seem to have "Chunks" in a tin, where as Princes seem kinda mushy

Even though it's my deal, I completely agree! Both Tesco and Asda's own brand versions are great and usually much cheaper despite being at least as good if not better.

Tesco's Thai Curry ones are gorgeous, Asda's barbecue sauce ones are delicious, but the mustard ones from Princes are on another planet. So I'll stock up on them while they're reduced (best before December 2020), along with the limited edition Brazilian ones and happily switch back to own brand afterwards.
Are these genuinely no bones? Love mackerel but hate getting even one fish bone

I'm the same, mate. Hate finding bone or gristle in anything. I doubt you can ever be 100% sure you're not going to get the tiniest of bones but I've honestly never had one in a tin of these or Tesco's own brand version.

Awesome mate, will give it a bash then!!!
There is no bones or gristle as buy loads when this is on offer. I can vouch for Princes & Tesco are the best ones to go for taste. Tried others but always come back to this. Love mackerel fresh or tinned. Like to see them bring out more flavours.
Thought i was though only one who liked tinned mackerels (my missus is not a fan).
Lightly steamed veg and rice and you've got one sweeet dinner....mmmmm.

I'm a relatively recent convert, as it's a simple way to get some omega oils into my diet in work.

Really versatile too. Little bit of rice and veg for a meal or spread on toast for a snack or mixed in with some light cream cheese then whacked on a Ryvita for kicks!
