Unfortunately we don't have any of those stores as well as Home Bargains, Pound Stretcher and Farm Foods near us so have to make do with Morrisons/Asda/Tesco/Iceland/Lidl and Aldi

Is the Heron foods and B and M , chunks or flakes and are those deals the same weight 160 ?

It's not the weight of the whole tin you should be looking at it's the drained weight.
I'm sure the drained weight on these is about 70% of the total weight so it's a good deal if you like brine/springwater/sunflower oil.:p

Not really a deal when they're trying to be fly by selling you less tuna in the same size tin.

Very cold buy pole and line tuna for less and help preserve marine life too....

Can you show me somewhere that sells 4 cans of pole and line tuna for less than this?

Sainsburys Basics is 95p/tin. More money of course but it's also a bigger tin (185g to 130g when drained) and you don't have to buy 4.

Sorry my bad - thought you could but my prices must be a little out of date - still 74p/can at tesco (160g) and I'd rather not be decimating marine life for the slight saving.

That's not what these forums are all about. Go and post on an environmental forum rather than here.

Then you probably shouldn't be eating tuna.

I understood the point, I was just pretty sure that you can't buy pole and line for cheaper than this otherwise everyone, I hope, would.

Sainsburys is £3.50.

great stuff

Nice one op. The ones in Sunflower oil seem to be more desirable, hence why they run out first.

Good price Heat added!!

ta PIC - picked some up on my way home this evening

Look out for the packs with the 50p coupon code - which you can use on your next purchase (so will buy 4 cans for £2 using the coupon next visit)
