That's good for an early Monday morning, hope you're well Chichi

Poundland often do a 213g tin of pink salmon and its very good quality. I don't get to poundland much but when in there I pick up about 4 tins at a time.

What is the point of eating this crap. Why not spend a little more money and get tinned sockeye? I don't get the popularity of these cheap stores that sell bargain basement crappy food. I want to eat the highest quality food I can afford.

Blimey, I never thought there would be brand snobbery about 'prince's brand. That's a pretty low end brand. The reality is the quality is the same and they taste just as nice. Not sure what people are expecting when it comes to salmon, its not like the sea is full of tasty pink salmon and a lower class called poundland not as nice pink salmon its all pink salmon.

I find pink salmon tastes nice than red salmon (sockeye) anyways also its not any better quality just because its more expensive the reason its more expensive is because it isn't as in abundance as pink that's it

At £1 its an ok deal...The original price of £2.68 is crazy..Pink salmon this size in Aldi is £1.09 or £1.19,(not sure which, perhaps someone can confirm)and the large 418gm size is £1.99.
Pink salmon is........pink salmon. Its all much the same unless you pay extra for the skinless, boneless variety. We just mash it up with a bit of salt, pepper and a spoonful of mayo.Makes lovely sandwiches.

The big supermarkets are trying to play us for fools....

not bad £5 for a kilo

I am pilling my money into pork bellies and frozen orange juice

From KidSafe website.
Ill stick with the canned Salmon if its all the same to you!!!
And I certainly wouldn't give Sockeye to my children

◾Avoid chinook (king) and sockeye, which tend to have PCB levels that exceed the KidSafe Seafood health limits for small children.
◾KidSafe Seafood recommends that you also avoid farmed Atlantic salmon. These fish have been found to have particularly high levels of PCBs, and the farms where they are raised tend to have high levels of pollution which pose a threat to wild salmon and other wild fish.
