Given that these blu-rays are from the same retailer, would it not have been better simply to list them under the one single topic?

...really? ...do you have to post each Disney title that was cheaper a week ago on a BOGOF promotion....this could be a long day!

StolenDiagram, I prefer not to post as a single topic, when prices vary, and items may go out of stock etc.

Krinkle. I wasnt aware that the "Double Play" where part of the BOGOF promotion a week ago? I may be wrong, but i thought it was Disney Single Blu-rays? And this will not be a long day, as i only posted the ones i thought were fab films

I was lucky enough to get the triple play for £8.99 a while back from bee. You can also get the triple play here for £9.99 using code, not sure about the seller though priceminister.co.uk/off…tml
I recieved my blu-ray I ordered through priceminister so no problems with them

Not having a go, but when that happens can you not just update the first post? What about these, admittedly rare posters who list the entire selection of blu-rays from play.com for a fiver for example - they seem to manage it fine.

Helper status presumably means people look to you to be setting an example. If helpers and mods start doing this then more users will start assuming that it is fair game, and we will have chaos...

If they're not listed individually, how do users search for the film they want?

I think most of them were double plays - Bambi, Dumbo, Up, all 3 Toy Story films, Fantasia and yes... The Princess and the Frog. At least they were from the Amazon BOGOF deal. Can't speak for the other retailers.

A bit of an overstatement. Personnaly I believe that there are pros and cons for both ways of posting. Long lists, keeping everything in one place, mean fewer posts but some really good deals of popular titles (or less known gems) may not stand out amongst all the fillers. It wasn't long ago that people were getting slated (rightly so IMHO) for just posting "play.com sale" and then letting other people searching through the 2000 sale items to see if there was anything of interest there. The list is the half way house between the two.

Individually posted items are more in your face and also get more conversation going about that particular item and makes it easier for somebody to decide if they want to look into a bit more.

Either way I don't believe it should be up to a few to force their opinions as to how it should be done. Both methods have their merits.

And if they are? Imagine there is a sale consisting of several hundred items all at the same price through the same retailer?

I would be very surpised if several hundred would be subject to individual posts - nobody does that. People tend to pick a few which they believe are worthy of mention and raise posts for them. Why should they be criticised for that, just because somebody else would do it differently ? We should celebrate diversity. It is not as if a few extra posts are going to cripple the site.

I see where you are coming from, but it's up to the individual to have a proper look for something. Yes, when someone posts 18 posts of blu rays, they stand out, but they clog the site up (along with the other items people seem to think are deals because it's a penny cheper than Amazon).

Common sense with this one was to put all the movies in one post, they are all Disney blu rays available on the same site(s).

i appreciate the post - thanks - was looking out for a good deal on this ...............

Its personal preference in my opinion, when i try to search for items on hukd, using the advanced search, if they are in seperate deals then it will find them, if they are within one thread, its impossible to find them. I do understand everyones opinion regarding keeping together in one list, however i personally dont like it, as its a nightmare having to keep on top of one deal, to edit the deal when items go out of stock, or items pricing changes. It is also harder when people are posting threads, as the link will not come up as a duplicate thread because there isnt one for it if its listed within a thread of other items. This then causes alot of Duplicates. I find it much easier to list items individually, that way duplicates dont arise, if the price changes it can be expired as its a done deal, and fellow hukd members can search for items and find them. Just my opinion.

I definitely agree with you on the Amazon thing. How many times have we seen a good deal posted and then Amazon price match and somebody raises a new post for it rather than just make the comment on the original post - see Alien Anthology example.
