they are an aid to finding the person that's lost his baseball cap or to help the village find their idiot ?

Dear friend, know that optional pack you bought on your AMG C63, well you can get those lights on ebay for a quid.

I think for a quid they are pretty good. Maybe not for use on the door handles but footwells maybe.

How do you fit them and what powers them?

It's a pretty good idea to find the lock with key in the dark

Same price on the Halfords website.

Seems to be an identical description, except for the following line - which they've somehow omitted from their ebay page...

"Not legal for use on public highways."

i think you'll find that they are only illegal if you have them on permanently when driving on public road. As a light to highlight a door handle when you unlock the car and timed to go off, then this is legal.

I have not voted either way, but it's definitely reminded me of something I would have done in my younger days!

If these are self adhesive, does that make them tacky?

I guess the main issue is that without being electrically connected to the car, it won't know when to turn itself on or off. Perhaps if it turns on when you unlock the car and off when you start the engine (like the main light) then it could be useful.

If it is just a light with a manual on-off switch then its only good for the kids modding their first cars!

Looks as if they are electrically connected to car.

Reviews on halfords look ok with both reviews using them for footwells.
