Restricted Card Payments
As a consequence of rising postal prices, some of our low-priced items are now just too cost-prohibitive
to dispatch on their own.
To maintain our amazing FREE delivery offer, we are only able to dispatch these items if your credit/debit
card order comes to £5 (ex vat) or more.
If you need some low-cost suggestions to help fill out your order please click here

Trade account customers wishing to purchase on CPC credit, or purchases made for collection at the
Sales Counter remain unaffected

Are these a high quality ones, or am I asking for too much at this price?

They're £1 in poundland and those work OK

Ah, finally all those people ordering packets of cable ties for 23p, not because they want them but just because they can, have ruined the "free delivery on everything" service.

I for one I'm GLAD they have introduced a minimum spend. £5 isn't too much for genuine customers, but I'll deter those trying to order the 23p cable ties with free delivery, just because they can(could).

The parent/business-oriented uk.Farnell.com has had a £20 min order restriction all this while.

We all saw that coming, I bet it cost them dearly giving free delivery on all orders.

Hooray, now I can spend £6 on things I don't need to save £69p on adapter I can get from Poundland.

To be fair the FREE delivery on everything wasn't really a sustainable business model and just simply meant the cost would have been reflected in an overall price increase on the products they sold!!
And to be fair £6 minimum order is very reasonable considering some places charge MORE than that just for delivery!!

The free delivery on anything was subsidised by their dreadful habit of indundating you with paper spam. Glad both have ended - less waste all round.

31p EX vat!!

Still a good deal. Have a few lying around from a couple of years ago. Nothing worse than missing this and paying €3.50 for one in desperation!

thx ordered;)

I agree with your sentiments regarding the reams of paper they posted. To their credit they did realise I was registered with Mail Preference Service and asked if I wanted to continue receiving paper mailings.

That's good to hear, because there used to be no way of opting out of paper mail on their website, and they definitely didn't ask! They still sent me unsolicited email though (illegal), and when I complained to their PR bod who lurks on here, s/he asked me to email them about it. I did, and never got any response.

As we've said, and as others have said - If you email [email protected]cpc.co.uk with your Account Number or Address then we'll take you off the mailing list.

We remove anyone that emails and asks, and we try to reply with a personal email to acknowledge receipt of email. We're sure that many here can verify.

As a result of the feedback we've received, we've also put processes in place whereby we manually check which products have been on here in correlation with a new customer and a first order and they dont get added to the full brochure mailing list.

If you don't email us with those details then there is nothing we can do about it, no matter how many times you complain on here.

That reply is not relevant to the quote you took from my posting.

Just found out that this is a special offer.
The same item not on offer
cpc.farnell.com/pro…832
is £1.67 each for quantities less than 10.

I understand exactly why they introduced the minimum fee, but have to say that they make it so difficult to navigate the website. It would be nice to be able to top up my basket with a few other items to make up the minimum, but it's easier to crawl through barbed wire tongue first than it is to find out the prices of everyday electrical accessories and peripherals (e.g. micro USB cables or HDMI leads) on their website.
